From this thread I gathered his Heisman moment was beating a 5-7 Florida team.

Ask yourself this, Would Washington be undefeated with Jayden at QB? And would LSU have the same or better or worse record with Penix or Nix? NO ONE could have done more to put LSU in a position to win. IMHO

No you don’t win heismans playing your worst when it counts ….
When did he play the worst when it counted?

His stats in those loses were great

This is a joke right? Not even top 3 QB in this class
because that really mattered when Troy smith, Lamar Jackson, Tim Tebow, etc won the heisman right?

He's the best I have seen this year but I don't spend much time watching non-SEC games.

He’s the best quarterback in the toughest conference in the country. Period.

Hypothetically if LSU loses 55-50 to Texas A&M and Jayden has another 500 yard game or whatever. That's going to help his Heisman chances.

Or does it matter when it hits 4 losses?

I don’t know because they don’t know. There’s no objective consistent metric for the award. I can say that If you take him off that Team, LSU prob wins 3-4 games so clearly he’s hugely impactful.

Jayden Daniels is probably the best QB I have ever seen at the college level. He's flat out unstoppable.

Easiest Heisman in history

With that said, there will be a push for Marvin Harrison JR because of the QB Bias but it should be Jayden Daniels.

I mean I’ll actually admit that each loss hurts his heisman chances. With his stats I think he can overcome 3 losses, especially because there is a history of 3 loss winners.

4 losses would be extremely tough, even with another 500yd game from him

Marvin needs a top notch game against UM to stay in the race.

FWIW I think Bowers is a top 3 player in the country. But he got injured, and UGA is so damn good that the offense doesn’t need to flow through him.

One thing that hurts Daniels is the SEC putting his last chance to impress game against A&M at 11:00 a.m., which coincidentally is when OSU-Michigan is on, the biggest game of the year (until maybe UGA-Bama). Don’t expect a lot of voters to be watching his game. Or fans for that matter. Can’t help his chances I wouldn’t think.

Penix went 27/42 for 275yds, no TDs and 2 INTs against Ariz St

Add two fumbles lost in that game as well. It was an incredible meltdown

Washington is ranked 99th in defense & 185th in rushing offense. The whole team is Penix's arm.

Not sure where to start here…

1. 185th isn’t a thing.
2. LSU running backs average a grand total of 3.5 yards more per game than Washington running backs.

Yes, & I think he should be the top draft pick.

No Brock Bowers, no care, you love your guy but what's your record?

I mean, 60 yards and .5 TDs per game is elite and all, but if that’s where we end up for Heisman then we’ve seriously marginalized the award.

How upset would LSU fans be if Jalen goes off the next 2 weeks and then beats UGA with a “Heisman” moment type of game and wins the Heisman? I don’t think this board could handle that. That being said, I got Daniels winning it @ +1400 on FD. Have Milroe @ +8000 & +6000. Nix @ +600. $10 bets on all except Daniels. Bet $25 on him.

I would vote for him but not beating Florida state or Alabama and not having an opportunity to play in a big end of the year game or conference championship game (which most of the other contenders will do) is likely to cost him whether that's fair or not.

Heisman no. Academy award for best actor yes.

Flopping and waiting for the flag against Bama then popping up for a play only to hide ( oh the drama) in the medical tent.

The next week he was okay enough to pad some Heisman stats though. Wow.

Skip the NFL kid, Hollywood needs new action figure type actors !
