Yes. Being the best player has nothing to do with being on the best team.

No Brock Bowers, no care, you love your guy but what's your record?

Don't think 3 losses will win it for him despite the best "stats" in the nation...

Dont think Bowers will win it but IMO he's the best player in CFB...

Yes Daniels should win and there is nothing he can do about defense.

People should stop using Caleb Williams as an excuse. His team lost the 3rd game after he won the Heisman. He led his team to a PAC-12 championship rematch against the only team that had beat them. If they had won that game, USC would have been in CFP. That game did not matter as he had already won the Heisman as many voters turned in their votes already.

If using a benchmark, use Lamar Jackson who never won any big games ( losing to Deshaun Watson and Clemson) and Tim Tebow who lost 3 games the year he won.

No you don’t win heismans playing your worst when it counts …. Beating Florida and leaving him in to stat pad does nothing for voters .

So Nix and Pennix were pulled every time their team had a game won??? Yeah, i didn't think so.

Can't agree enough with your post. I dont care how much input a QB has, they can't win a game by themself. I don't think prime Tom Brady could elevate this LSU team much more than Daniels tbh.

Penix is still the frontrunner based on inertia and big results in the first half of the season. He's great, but has fallen off a bit as Wash hit the meat of their schedule. Daniels, meanwhile, has elevated his game from ridiculous to straight up video game numbers. 600+ yards against Florida is just nuts. And all but the staunchest Gumps will admit he ran all over them.

Even adjusted for modern Era, I believe he's exceeding Tebow & Manziel. He deserves the Heisman

I do. It will depend on what Harrison Jr does against Mich.
i can see the voters pulling another Charles Woodson but yes, Daniels should win it.

I really dont know right now if Im being honest. Penix is up there. Who knows what Milroe is going to do. Bo Nix is having an incredible season. Marvin Harrison Jr is probably my pick right now tho but I can be persuaded

The reason he stays in the games is bc the defense sucks lol. It was a 3 point game in the 4th quarter. Then scored 2 TDs and Florida was more than capable of scoring quick. After going up 17 was finally enough to know LSU would win. So had nothing to do with padding his stats lol.

Yeah. Wins matter. Also, lets not act like Penix has bad stats.

If Daniels had one big win to hang his hat on I would be more likely to go with him.

mean I think he is great, but I would have to give it to Penix at the moment.

The quality of your opponents should matter as well.

Not a chance.

LSU is no longer relevant under Brian Kelly. Defense is in the crapper and Daniel’s is leaving.

No one is saying Penix or Nix stats are not good. Answer these questions:

1) Does LSU win or keep close against FSU, Bama, Ole Miss, Missouri, or Florida? I say no. Daniels is the reason LSU won or those games were close.

2) Would you rather have Daniels, Penix, or Nix for a last minute drive to score a TD to win the game? I say Daniels. He has done it this year. Nix had one drive to tie a game and his kicker missed the field goal.

3) Why does the “best player” award have to go a player on “best team”?

Didn’t Lamar win it the year he lost to Deshaun Watson and Clemson went to national championship game? Didn’t Tebow and Manziel win it when they did not win the conference?

Just my opinion. If Penix doesn't lose a game, I would vote for him. He has #12 Oregon State up. Should be a tough one. You guys probably also have a tough matchup this week where Jayden can gain some ground.
