The better question -- does AM win if Alabama doesn't turn the ball over 3 times.

No. AJ made some rare mistakes in that game.

The real "what if" is does UT suck balls for the last 3 years if Matt Simms was actually Peyton Manning and Tyler Bray was actually Tee Martin?

I think A&M still wins. Bama def was not as good as first thought. Bama made A&M punt TWICE ALL GAME. had A&M not missed fgs , the score wouldn't have been as close as it was. Although I do think that LSU have A&M a blueprint to beat Bama by attacking Bama's secondary.

That game was a lot more one sided than y'all would like to think.

As rick said, aTm punted TWICE all game. And went up 21-0 in the first quarter IIRC?

Yea, he watched the game. It was a beat down.

You can play the what if game all day. But A&M won that game because of their defense. No Bama turnovers. No A&M win.

First half might have been a beatdown. But JFF looked human in the second half. What did they have one touchdown in the second half?

You forget about how aTm did whatever they wanted on O?

Only punting twice?

eta: well you're not gonna put up 21 points a quarter against anyone.

Yes they did whatever they wanted on O in the 1st half. Not so much the 2nd

Again, you're not going to put up 21 a quarter against anyone in the country. Especially Alabama.

The fact that they did it is amazing in itself TBH. There was never really a question who the better team that day was.

Yes there was certainly a question. If Bama scores on that goal line possession and wins are they then not the better team?

A&M won that game on defense and in the first quarter. If they play 10 times does A&M win 6?

With the same Bama secondary? Yes.

LSU only beat aTm because of their sideline-to-sideline speed.

Get real, Sarge. LSU beat you in the 8th gme of the season at your plce. Not exactly early in the year.

Good god. We played you at THE END OF OCT. you aggies act like we played in sept.
also we now have a passing game. We beat you at your place with 98 yards passing. LSU's def is built on speed.

This year, yes. And I also think if LSU played Bama again they'd win. Bama will beat ND. But they are not the same Bama as last year.

eta: I respect Bama. Bama is a great team with the best HC in the business. And that alone can help a mediocre team achieve greatness. Which they will this year.

Fact is, LSU was not very good. Injury plagued, suspensions,etc..and had Bama beat. That in it self shows you this is not a NS type Bama team.

Agreed this year Bama would get smoked by last years LSU and Bama teams.

I'd say we are about even with LSU this year. We got a tough win at Death Valley. But got the Benifit of playing an easier sechdule.

And I completely disagree with you about A&M being better than Bama. But I'm not going to convince you in this thread so I'm not going to waste my time trying.
