Those championships will come. You got a good head coach and a good program. Give it time.

unny thing is Aggy is hoping Mizzou goes to the Big 11, Arkansas enters the B12N pic so they can be begged to join the SEC. That's texags.com for ya...

You're not too damned bright if you think 5 idiots from that crappy arse message board represent "Aggy," as so you cleverly call us.

And yes, I was laughing at those threads too.

Bright enough to giggle at the incessant Conference Shift threads. And "Aggy" is as useless as "Arky". We both just have to deal with it.

Yeah, Texags has been pretty weak sauce lately. The moderators there pretty much delete any interesting discussions or legitimate criticism, so they end up with a bunch of nonsense speculation and failed humor.

I really enjoyed harassing that guy before I got the boot. Don't know if he's posted since Thanksgiving. Poor guy probably went on a blind bender and destroyed his computer.

I want Arkansas out and Georgia Tech in. GTech has more history in the SEC than Arkansas and just in the past two years has gone 4-2 when playing SEC opponents (Thats including the bowl game with LSU). It would make things alot more interesting. Not to mention Georgia Tech has better academic's and a better basketball program than Arkansas at the present day.

There is a small minority, maybe 10% who want to. There's another 10% who don't care. The rest want to stay where we are.

Its tempting to think about, and I like playing Aggy for the nostalgia aspect.

Leaving your entire conference behind after 76 years or so is a little weird, buts its been a while now, and we're pretty used to being where we are. Every year, the contingent who want to get back together with Texas permanently gets smaller. They're mostly older fans who have a lot more memories of the SWC than they do the SEC.

We joined the SEC when I was 15, and now we've been in the SEC for a majority of my life. It no longer feels like we don't belong. And the money and everything else means we will stay.

Anybody joining the Big 12 is going to have to deal with Texas being a gorilla when it comes to conference power as far as decision making, revenue sharing, etc. No thanks.

But Arkansas has no true rivals in the SEC and it still feels funny having y'all around (imo). Arkansas belongs in the Big 12 and I believe would have much more success in the Big 12 (instead of being a middle of the road team in the SEC)

still feels funny having us around? Dude, you were a toddler when we joined the SEC. You make it sound like you've been following SEC football for 50 years. As for having a true rival... I think that will happen eventually. We just haven't been in the conference that long. That special kind of hatred takes some time to grow, ya know?

Oh yeah, to answer the op's question, I definitely don't want the Hogs to move to the big 12 or any other conference, for that matter. I love the SEC!

You're missing my point completely. I have no great hate for Arkansas. A matter a fact when the Arkansas game comes around it's kind of a " " situation. It's not like Ole Miss,Auburn,Alabama or even Georgia for that matter. To even further my point, we have a made up rivalry with y'all that seems staged. While Arkansas/Texas actually have hatred for each other (mostly on the Arkansas side) and y'all barely play one another for year to year.

No, I know what you're saying. I know you don't hate Arkansas. I don't know if any other teams absolutely hate us. But, like I said, we haven't been in the conference long enough to garner such ill will. And, we haven't won consistently enough to make any other team want to kill us each year... well, not in football. If we can turn that around, we could probably build a decent rivalry with someone.

I'd rather be a mediocre SEC team than a Big 12 power. It's basically the same thing, except we get more money.

Thats a pretty stupid statement. Besides the "madeup" rivalry we have with y'all, we're rivals with Ole Miss,Auburn and Alabama.

This is true, but where do you rank in their rivalry pecking order? 2nd for Ole Miss behind Miss State, 3rd for Auburn behind Bama and Georgia, and 3rd for Bama behind Auburn and Tennessee.

I like not having a huge rivalry game though. I've seen some posters say stuff like "I don't care if we go 1-11 as long as we beat ____", which is ridiculous.

You're rivals with three other schools who have an instate rivalry that is more important to them than the one with LSU (admit it Ole Miss fans).

You're in the same boat as us with rivalries, you've just played some of those teams longer.

We are starting to hate LSU. We hate Ole Miss, as long as Nutt stays.

Who does Carolina have a rivalry with?

Born in 1989?? Good grief...you've never truly known a "lean" time in LSU football history. I always have to remind myself how young some of you are and why you are so jaded. You'll hit a trough and not know how to act.

Arkansas won't leave.

Only if the Big 12 lost Mizzou and Iowa State and Colorado, and added more attractive teams to make it better for us and guarantee better national money.

That won't happen under any circumstances.

If Mizzou leaves, the Big12 is in serious trouble. Show me one school that makes sense to add to the Big 12 that brings everything that Mizzou brings as far as tv markets, and being a big public university with a big fanbase.

There isn't one that comes to mind immediately.

We aren't leaving. Period. 10 years ago, there would have been some more discussion about it. But not now.

The fans don't want to leave the SEC.

The administration wants to keep their money.

Leaving the SEC would be a lose/lose for Arkansas, and we won't do it at this point.

Anybody who seriously thinks we would doesn't understand Arkansas.
