Teams with him on staff are 0-3 against Ole Miss. He is a curse.

And yes, I'm purposely omitting FG play.

We haven't had any good hexes on FG kickers yet this season.

To Ole Miss' credit, their kicker (Wunderlich) was money on Saturday.

Yeah, it will be very interesting to see how Coker and Harris progress as we get closer to November.

I mean sure if you want to put two turnovers on a coordinator. The calls weren't my favorite on those two plays but if you want to put poor execution by players on Lane, I guess a case can be made that every coach in the history of sports is reasonable for every loss. Play calls rarely lose games. Bad playing usually does.

Hell no. This may be the dumbest thread ever if serious. Did you watch the game?

I could do without the comic cue cards though. Give me a QB that can think without pictures.

didn't think Coker played badly at all. If anything, he kept several drives going with his surprising mobility. Instead, I question some of the play calls. It's like Kiffin thinks he's back in the Pac 10.

We'll probably never know whether the bad plays were a result of poor playcalling or poor execution unless a coach decides to throw someone under the bus.

Lane Kiffin knows he is out of there next year and is just helping out his bro.

Yes, I rewatched the whole game on my lunch hour today.

And those two plays stood out as unnecessary risks given the situation.

Several other crimson clad posters appear to agree.

It's not the sole reason Bama lost. Those two special teams fumbles were also huge factors. But those are unlikely to be repeated in future games and certainly weren't designed plays.

Also, I'm trying to reconcile Finebaum commenting yesterday that he's fairly certain Kiffin won't be at Bama next year. I'm guessing that's because Finebaum wasn't thrilled with Kiffin's playcalling either.

I think with 2:45 left in the game on the 35 with 3 time outs left we could have run Henry every play from that point forward and we would have scored, not left much time on the clock, and won the game. But it was not to be.

Coach Saban needs to get off Kiffin's back during offensive plays. He is looking at his sheet then Nick mudchecks him like that helps. Its time Lane went upstairs. Lane can do his thing. Nick should get all in Bobby Williams arse from time to time. Williams is a terrible coach and I don't know why he draws a paycheck.

I'm much more worried about LSU's ability to throw the ball when we need to.

In the Les Miles era, I think I can count on one hand the number of times I've said "Damn, I wish we would have run the ball a little more or used more short passes today."

Nah, it was a team effort.

You're right. He only averaged a pitiful 7.3 vs Ohio State and a not too impressive 12.5 vs OU.

Between the two games he had a mere 320 yards rushing and receiving w/3 TDs on 24 touches.

Why feed that guy the ball more when he wasn't doing shite?

Do you reading comprehension? He said in the ole miss game he didn't recall Henry being as effective as he was against ou and osu, running for 10 ypc.

Henry was largely useless aside from 2-3 runs in the 4th quarter.

He ran for almost 130 yards, averaging 5.5 yards per carry. That's hardly useless.

both of them surely decisions by Kiffin.

interceptions

You act like Kiffin has a section on his play calling sheet with plays that result in interceptions 100% of the time.

How is it all his fault the qbs made bad reads and bad throws?

Not running henry all the way down the field with 3 minutes and a timout was a big mistake. Ole miss was gassed

No -- a once in a million, beyond belief, fluke play.

You do realize that throwing the ball 30+ yards downfield is one of the riskiest play calls an OC can make, right?

You don't believe Bama's QBs decided on their own to throw that deep on either play, do you?

apparently lots of people weren't watching the same game I was. Cause Kiffin was the only person keeping Bama in the game. The D was a HUGE letdown, and the special teams gave the ball, and the game away.

It's up to Kiff to call the plays, and the players to execute them. y'all just like to make excuses for Saban and Smart, who ARE the ones who failed.
