Arkansas is entirely capable of winning the SEC. Just look at the last 2 years. We were a lot closer than people give us credit for. If not for a freak year from Cam and a few stupid decisions by one player...If not for LSU/Bama both having elite teams in the same year.
But those are "ifs" and I'd rather not bring those up, except to say that we aren't that far away. If LSU or Bama stumble at all in 2012, Arkansas will be right there. Stranger things have happened.

The fact that this program has gone the span of 20 seasons without a conference title should by all indications be a serious cause of concern.
The past 2 seasons, UArk's 2 loss regular season has largely been a product of a down league. (Tenn has sucked for a while now, both Miss. Schools are no match for the Hogs, they caught UGA on a down year 2 years ago, they have always had USC by the balls)
It is only a matter of time before the Hogs lack of overall lack of talent and depth catches up with them in some manner. e.g.--see their bowl history, their losing conference record to UK, etc.
It will be interesting to see how much longer Petrino's ego can muster not winning a conference crown.

When you have an offense like that, you don't need championship defenses like LSU needs. You can overcome some deficiencies. Our problem last year was no Knile and a "green" OL. We also need some improvement in the defense and I think the new staff will provide that.

What elite offense has won the NC over the last 10 years?
UF, UT and Auburn? UF had a legit D and I'm pretty sure UT had a very good D in 05 didnt they? Who else?

Like I said, you need a decent/good defense...not necessarily elite.
