He won't but it's obvious he feels a separation is needed.

Under Gus, he would be third on the Offensive hierarchy list (Hand, Lashlee). He can get a fresh start at LSU and not be miserable. Look at the Mobile area next year for recruiting, LSU will make him a King at least for one year.

Another great get for LSU if it happens.

Miles stacking the deck for the hot seat year.

Does anyone seriously believe Craig would be a candidate for HC if Gus gets canned after next season?

I just don't see that being a realistic possibility.

HC? No. OC under a new coach? Possible depending on who is hired.

Love this for so many reasons but love that we got a shot now to snag some recruits from AU/Bama

No, AU will not hire a HC without HC experience (not since Barfield). AU/Gus can expedite DCs career by making him the OC and play caller. Lashlee was on track to be a HC soon, before his QB Coaching derailed him. Gus is trying to repair that this year.

Steele's defenses, yeah, not so much.

Last season Steele was a massive upgrade from Chavis. It's just a little confusing with all the massive upgrades going on in Red Stick.

Steele was a pretty shitty DC but the dude recruited like a boss. A lot of LSU fans did hype him up, but personally I was just glad to get away from Chavis.

You can't talk shite about any of the recent hires however. Will they all pan out? Maybe, maybe not.

That's what you guys were telling us. 3rd and Chavis. Chavis is garbage, etc. etc. Steele was a massive upgrade. Now that Steele left, he is garbage and you now have another massive upgrade? (Of course Tony Ball was a massive upgrade, but I just saw another of your posters say he was garbage and Craig would be a massive upgrade. I think I can see you guys winning 3-4 straight National Championships and making everybody forget Bama's run.
