Stay in downtown Ft. Worth. Plenty of bars and a couple of nice steakhouses. Some nice places to stay as well. Then make the 20 minute drive to Jerruh world.

This is actually a pretty good idea.

If you're only considering staying in Houston or Dallas, though, Dallas is definitely the better town to visit.

The beat part of how this discussion will go is that concert jungle will ignorantly be thrown out describing Houston, and yet you will be on the verge of heat exhaustion in Dallas by the stadium, since it's a 5 square mile shadeless parking lot.

So true. I'm not sure how Dallas escapes the "concrete jungle" stereotype while Houston gets hammered for it

I'm a houstonian and I'd say go to the Dallas game. Two reasons 1 its a different team then the one you're already planning to watch in Green Bay. 2 the party scene is easy to get around in for an outsider. Houston's scene is spread out and if you don't do enough research you'll end up some where you will not like.

Dallas.

Jerry World is awesome for a virgin.

Plus, you'll get to witness in person the honor of getting destroyed by Alabama.

I am a native Houstonian now living in Collin County ie Allen, Plano, Frisco. Here is how I rate the major cities in Texas.

San Antonio-¿Qué estoy haciendo aquí? El cartel está ejecutando esta ciudad.

Austin-Are we San Francisco yet?

Dallas-Where all the women are plastic surgery dimwits. (not saying that is bad)

Houston-Get out of the way, I trying to make my 2nd million. (said in English, Spanish, Arabic and Russian.

El Paso-Not sure this town exist. Didn't we give it back to Mexico or was it New Mexico?

Amarillo/Lubbock-Are they still here?

Beaumont-Port Arthur-Orange-Only exists to prepare travelers heading East, that Louisiana is next...and it will look a little worse than this.

Fort Worth-Howdy. Welcome. Our Downtown is the best in the state.

Reality is the complete opposite of this, when comparing Houston and Dallas.

You can stay, party, eat, and play in midtown/downtown, and get to the stadium without ever needing a car or cab.

I'm a New Orleans guy through and through, but I can appreciate Houston and all that it offers. There are many areas inside of 610 that I really like, I just wish it weren't so damn spread out.

Go to Houston next year. You might hit the lotto and would be able to afford all 3. If you skip. Houston you can never go to all three. You don't know what might happen.

Lots of dilapidated buildings and shops out of business. Not as bad as Detroit, just heading that direction.

It's so weird. I've heard people that have never even been to Houston call it a concrete shite hole (guarantee at least one person ITT fits here). Not sure who has it out for Houston, but their propaganda has been quite successful.

I do think the best post was to go to Dallas, though, since he will see his team play LSU in green bay.
