I've lived in both and I think Dallas is a better choice...there are several dense areas of places to party (Greenville ave near SMU, Addison etc) that are easily accessible and well known and everyone should see Jerry's world... Plus, if you go to Dallas, that is one or 2 less Wisconsin fans at the LSU game...

This is where I need some advice! For someone 21+ going with several friends that would like to enjoy the game day experience and nightlife, would you all prefer Dallas or Houston?

You're going to get to see LSU beat your Badgers in Green Bay, so why not go to Dallas to see Bama beat your Badgers?

Houston and Dallas, six of one and a half dozen of the other. I've got family in both, been to both many times in the past 40 years. If this were twenty years ago I'd say Dallas in a heartbeat. But today, you can't go wrong with either.

Y'all have good fans. I've been to two Packers games in Green Bay when Sterling Sharpe and Robert Brooks were playing up there - enjoyed those trips, and neither of them were that cold either so I was lucky. Tons of Whisky Sconnies at both the games ... wish I could have made it to Orlando this New Years for our Cap One Bowl.

The gentlemens clubs in Houston are light years better than Dallas if that's your thing.

Both towns are good in their own right, but I think Reliant will provide a better gameday in tailgating, views, and overall atmosphere than Jerry World.

You sound like a pussy. Scared to leave your tiny Woodlands bubble. Probably a good idea. You wouldn't last long in Screwston.

Dallas hands down.

I lived in Houston for 3 years prior to moving to Dallas 1.5 years ago. A Texas friend put it best, everyone in Texas is trying to get to Dallas. It's kind of funny, the Houstonians hate Dallas like it's some sort of pissing contest...

I remember seeing a billboard off the Tollway that said, "Houston. Twice as good as Dallas". And had a picture of their two MLS trophies that they had just won. When Dallas wins a Championship the last people its fine residents are thinking about is Houston.

That certainly wasn't true when the Mavs won.

Football wise it is one sided though

Yea, it's definitely a one way street, as you put it.

If I was told I had to move to Dallas to continue working my job that I love, I'd resign.

The Mavs have won an NBA Title this millennium you say? Houston hasn't? The Rockets suck and they always will.
