I mean Cal lost with Memphis to Kansas and he had Derrick rose, Joey Dorsey, Chris Douglas Roberts.

2010 is much more embarrassing. Wall, Bledsoe, Cousins, Patterson, and Miller...can't even get out of your own region.

That's an embarrassment of riches. Most title teams only have one guy who's on the level of that 5.

Miller? He was still working out his mental nightmares from the Drunk Clyde days. Miller did not come out of his funk until the following year in the SEC tourney. The 10 team did not have an outside shooter and when they had a cold night, they got bounced in the dance by a hot shooting Eeer team.

I will counter to say when Cal coached Harrelson, Miller, Liggins and bunch of freshman to win the SEC tourney and a Final 4. If they got by UConn, they would had won it then.

So Cal owns Billy.

Cuonzo Martin owns Billy as well.

In the end... Who gives a shite? Head-to-head record in college basketball is almost as unimportant as it is in the MLB.

UK shot 34% in that game. WVU shot 38%.

WVU was without their starting point guard.

It was an epic fail. There's no spinning it.

When Cal can get his guys to buy in on defense, they are tough. He should have more rings with the talent he's accumulated. Hell, look at Pitino in your own state. He's done just as well, arguably better (no nit loss), with drastically less talent.

Yet, you failed to show UK hit only 2 for 30 from the three point line. WVU hit 10 three pointers. That was the game.

I also seem to recall Louisville losing to Morehead State in the 1st round 3 years ago. Oh, don't act like Pitino does not have burger boys. He wants them, Cal just gets them. Chane, Blackshear, and Siva were McDonald AAs.

Also want to add, Pitino has had several trips to the NIT while at Louisville.

They are returning some talent to give them depth.

And of course they are bringing in the #1 player at 4 of the 5 positions on the court in the country and maybe 5/5 if they Wiggins, which they have a legit shot of and who is being called the best prospect since Lebron.

I don't think they'll have much trouble winning

That's the entire point of the discussion. Cal's coaching. He had no answer that night. Don't spin things and make it seem like WVU was unconscious from the field. There were nearly as bad as UK that night.

Yes. In the NCAA tourney. Not NIT.

Who said he didn't want them? He's done just as well if not better than Cal at UK with less talent.

Big difference between MCD AA and legit NBA talent.

There you go with the spin again. He's been twice and made the semifinals in one of those years.

Now all of the sudden a burger boy is not NBA talent?

I know that I am not a math major, but 30 points from the 3 is a much more the 6 points. WVU was rediculous that night hitting 3 pointers while Bledsoe and Wall were clanking them. Huggins saw how shitty we were shooting and went on shutting a lock down on Cousins and the paint.

We can argue all we want, but a bad night of shooting will get you bounced from the dance.

And what is funny, UL fans were calling for Ricks head last year after getting beat by UK. The base was sick if the 10 loss seasons and not getting past the first weekend of the dance. UL got on a roll since mid season last year and been going since.
