I didn't know there was a stable of hall of fame coaches waiting on the sidelines without jobs?
They needed new and young blood just like Texas A&M did. It's very easy to see. Saban wasn't going to start his career over when he is passing the Bear and is already paid stupidly good. The money becomes meaningless at that level.

Longhorns have won 9 of the last 12, lead the series 76-37-5. Why would they want to bother with A&M

I'd be curious to know if he's had an interview since being hired when he didn't mention A&M. I honestly think the answer is no.

A&M doesn't want anything to do with Texas. Scared.
We're not talking LSU and Ole Miss here, coonass.

so why did the best coach in the country just turn down $100M from there to stay put?

id also like to look into if Patterson and strong ever preach the same narrative about playing us

If y'all do end up playing them you think we would get bumped out of Thanksgiving and last game of season?
I would hope we wouldn't.
I don't think we would, they would have to play y'all earlier in the season.

After all the schedule changing that happened no way. My guess is it would be set up for Week 1

No doubt, even if Texas wanted to do Thanksgiving I think A&M would tell them to go frick themselves.
That last game of season will never change with LSU and A&M.

He never sidesteps the questions, he also wants to put his two cents in and make sure the world knows how he feels about A&M. Pretty sad

I can't imagine bumping the LSU game. The Texas game would probably wind up being at the beginning of the year.
And don't think for second we'll have this game on the books before the Longhorns are positive they could beat us first.
