yes, but you still played a supposedly ineligible player. want harm anything going forward, but might hurt the past

The NCAA has to prove he was ineligible. If no one talks, how can they do this?

he NCAA can't do that as the BCS National Championship Game has nothing to do with the NCAA.

Correct it would come down to a vote, from the conference presidents, how do you think the big 10 commish will vote?

assume the vacating of the win would mean a vacating of the national title from the official records.

I wonder how this decision is officially made? Probably still have the AP championship at least even in your scenario.

It all started when Auburn bitch slapped them by calling their bluff.

Id rather take a small penalty going forward than vacate the championship. A 3 peat has never been done before and will be impossible if we vacate the 2012 championship. Because of this though, you can damn near beat your life they will take it away. We have gotten fricked every time we have gotten close before. Why should this be any different.

What is silly about punishing schools for playing ineligible players?

Turned in would have been a better way of phrasing it. Previous poster said Luther was turned in by Bama. My question is turned in for doing what?

Nah after Alabama wins it this year, we will just win 2014 and 2015 and we got the 3peat brah.

Also, if they take enough wins away, Alabama could be in a position to set a record that will never be broken: this year we could break the 800 mark for the third time! Roll Tide!

Nothing. Just like Bama's AD disassociated the TTWM guy for doing nothing wrong.

That is a slippery slope though because I am sure some good juniors get a "little extra" to stay another year. Especially when you have a former player like Luther, that distinction could get a little murky.

The frick? This is literally the complete opposite of what happened in all this..
