“The solicitation of cash or benefits by either a potential student-athlete or another person on their behalf is not allowed under NCAA rules,” ... is this the first time?

The answer to your question is no. I have several examples, and could explain how this is a microscope case and it must be addressed, but I'm not even going to waste any more time with you. But hey, here, stop pestering me, let me give you a name of someone you can call for insight, a man I used to work with closely on NCAA violations: Rick Evrard, he worked as a member of the NCAA on violations for 7 years, he now is a consultant for schools, I'm sure he can enlighten you (for a fee) because I'm through with your BS. And, by the way, using an alter is a major tigerdroppings violation, so enjoy your limited time going to every thread and asking this question over and over again. They don't put rules in the NCAA manual and just ignore them, nor do spokespeople just make things up and not adhere to them, that's pretty funny in and of itself.

If you really think that analogy is anything close to what happened with Cam Newton and his dad, then you are a truly, truly naiive person.

Cecil is not a crackhead. He's a preacher. He and Cam knew what was going on the whole time.

If you'll pay attention to my post, you'll read in a later paragraph where I specifically say what I in fact THINK happened. So... fail.

You are the one who THINKS he KNOWS what happened. But in the end, all that matters is PROOF of what happened. And other than heresay and speculation, there is very, very little proof of anything.

You really need to try a reading comp class or two.

Guys is very easy! When Cam spoke to the Miss state coach and stated in a upset voice ( Crying) that he is sorry he cannot attend Miss st, because the "money" is just to much to turn down. Well Auburn had to be giving that money! IF its proven, then Auburn is in Big trouble.

If this conversation was recorded and I think it was and now the FBI has the recordings in their possession, then when they interview CAm or Cecil and they lie about the conversation Then Auburn is in more trouble.

I am sure John Bond was upset that Cam was going to turn them down and had that Recorder ready and taping the whole conversation with CAm. He knew he could use whatever Cam stated on the tape to put Auburn in a lot of trouble.

This. It's all about evidence and fact. Period.

Speculation won't change a thing, and it shouldn't. This is Amurucah. You don't get punished because someone thinks they saw you do something that might be bad. You get punished because the is INDISPUTABLE EVIDENCE that PROVES you did something bad.

Until someone "testifies" as a matter of record that they saw/heard/know AU paid either Cam or Cecil for their services, there is nothing to discuss.

FOR THE RECORD: I do believe that AU paid. I do believe that MSU was told it would cost them. I believe that MSU was willing to pay also but just got outbid. I do believe that Cam knew about it and I do believe that The Hunchback of Starkville knew about it. I believe that EVERYONE is guilty. But until someone can prove something worth a squirt of rat shite, it's all bullshite, whispers and opinions. Period.
