I'm not trying to flame. This kid has got way too much pressure (via hype) on him.

If I remember right I think Cam surprised everyone and was a story in the making as the season progressed. Isn't that right?

Yeah, I've seen that lately..meh. If he hands ball off 60 times LSU should win 10 games. If he pans out the club should contend for ATL and BCS. We'll see.

There was plenty of preseason hype for Cam.
After the spring game, some of that was tempered but a few Auburn posters seemed to know how good he was gonna be.
I see several with join dates that excludes you from knowing what the hype for Cam was.
I also frequent a few of the Auburn boards, and there was a great deal of hype for Cam.

Mett has much, much more presure on him then Scam ever did. LSU will be a top 5 team and everyone is saying all we need is QB to be chapms, Scam never saw that until AU was what 8-0.....

I've been on ESPN board a few years, just joined here. I suppose it's the fact that Cam turned out to be superman in hindsight is why I say hype at outset wasn't that much. I'll take your word for it though. As far as Mett...if he can actually make a 3rd read, feel pressure before he's already being tackled, and 3rd + 7 actually becomes a pass first situation and not an option situation, this will surpass the last several years at LSU and I'll be quite happy.

If anybody else had to put up with 4 years of JJ/JL, they'd be pretty excited with a decent qb coming in too. Don't confuse that with hype.

Cam was thought of as the next Brent Schaeffer(sp) maybe worse. People were shocked he was that good.
