Agreed. Do not want.

How come nobody has brought up Saban to OU? This board seems like the perfect place to discuss this move.

I was waiting for an Ole Miss fan to jump in since they're acting like Helen Keller on a sinking ship...

So, he was bound & determined to get to the SEC 1 way or another (as a team or coach)?

This was far more abrupt than Urban Meyer's retirement. Oklahoma is a preseason top 4 team returning the leading candidate for the Heisman and a senior-laden team.

Sometimes you've just had enough.

he would have zero reason to come here. I just think Bob is ready to retire

Good for him if true.

The guy has made $50+ million in the last decade alone. Living in a place like Norman, that's cheap as hell. He is probably just tired of the stress and wants to enjoy his life. He could probably easily get a well paying commentator gig if he starts getting bored.

Making 6 mil a year coaching a top 10 team and calling all the shots and he just decides to leave for a program that won't pay as much and has tons of rebuilding to do? Rightttt

hmmm, playing LSU/UF/AU/Bama/UGA/Tenn >>>>>>>>> Texas/Baylor/OSU/Kansas/WVU. And it's not even close.

Finebaum caller just made good point: Stoops fed up with Big 12, will hinder OU going forward on national stage. The lure of the SEC is hard to resist for Stoops. Again, 18 years at one school and he's still relatively young and admitted today his health is fine. He'll relax this year, take some deep breaths, have fun, them boredom sets in and his calling will take over.

If any of those (which I doubt) I would say Florida. Doesn't like to get out and recruit anymore evidently, Florida should be the easiest recruiting situation of the four listed.

I would be shocked if he did since he hates the SEC so much. At least that's according to OU people from landofthieves, he made it known he doesn't want OU in the SEC during realignment chatter.

Is it possible the PTB at the school told him they're going to try to get in the SEC and he could either embrace it or bow out? Just a thought.

Except he isn't getting canned corndog. You should stick to topics you know something about rather than talking out your arse.

There's a whole lot wrong with this post. All those wins against Missouri & aTm were against Big 12 teams. Some of the records you have flipped. LSU isn't 0-1 against Stoops.

Timing is too weird, either there's more than meets the eye or he "retired" late so Riley would definitely get the job.
