I would be shocked if he did since he hates the SEC so much. At least that's according to OU people from landofthieves, he made it known he doesn't want OU in the SEC during realignment chatter.

Yeah but he was guzzling the Texas nut sauce, tends to cloud a man's thinking.

Are you saying he was forced out to make the move a done deal?

We pay pretty damn well. He can afford CS and not have to slum it in Bryan.

What's the feeling you get in Norman about the fan's interest in a possible move to the SEC? And if Oklahoma does make a move anywhere, does Okie State have to tag along, or what's the deal with that relationship between the schools?

Overwhelming majority favor it with some lame weirdos that would prefer the PAC (for some reason). B1G gets strong approval too.

Instate sister school. We've been tied to Okie State for 113 years. It would be like Alabama and Auburn splitting up and going their separate ways. Probably won't ever happen. Too intertwined going back over a century.

Fvck the BIG...and that cold arse weather, ugly arse women, shitty football, jorts, Yankees, and all that BS. OU is closest to the SEC and it's the best league.

You never know what's going on in a coach's mind but your Top 5 list makes a lot of sense. I think he takes a year or two off and then goes to either ND, Tennessee, A&M, or Florida. ND isn't close to the job it once was but the thought of being maybe the only coach ever to coach at 2 of the Top 5 programs of all time is probably intriguing. Then again, maybe there's something up with the article about Saban and Stoops being great friends and as a wildcard of wildcards Stoops ends up taking over for Saban in 2 or 3 years. Crazier things have happened

Correct this to Bob Stoops will be an assistant to brother Mark at Kentucky next year.

Okay, maybe not but I think Mike is a possibility

Good thing Mark will only be at Kentucky until Kirk Ferentz retires and daddy comes calling little Stoops home

Wow. Bob Stoops to Tennessee would be a paradigm-shifting hire for the SEC. That would be fun to watch. The offseason Championship juxtaposed with the Melt from other schools would be worth it.

Nope. I think he's ready to ride off into the sunset, take his millions of dollars and enjoy his family and life.

I'm shocked more coaches/players don't do this earlier in their careers with the money that is thrown at them.

I doubt it, but if he is ever a head coah in the SEC, it would probably be at Florida.

Given the history of heart problems the Stoops family has if I was him and sitting on a heap of money I'd call it a career as well.

I could see him showing up at practices for a couple of different teams, doing the consultant thing, or sitting back and being a talking head on Saturdays if he wants to scratch the football itch.

Tennessee: A very good chance that Butch is gone and I think Tennessee could possibly make a play for him.

Our boosters would never pay the salary that Stoops would require. Haslem and company are happy with winning to 7-8 games a year, than win our conference.

Going after what would be a 58 year old Stoops I think would be a mistake. IMO his best day's are behind him.
