Franchione was still a hot name when he left Bama. The two years he was here we played a hard-nosed brand of ball and would have had a good shot at winning the SEC in 2002 had it not been for probation and him leaving. I was angry he left and was surprised not just that he failed, but that he failed so spectacularly at A&M.

I agree with you on Fran. He was obviously a guy chasing a pay check. Skipping town and not saying so Ling to his Alabama team was a red flag for character and integrity that no one wanted to pay attention to. We lose 77-0 to Oklahoma in year one. Then give that POS an extension. He saw a sucker and cashed in.

The last 20 years have been very, very good at LSU despite some years where the record did not match the talent.

I think a lot of Tiger fans would say holding on to Les Miles too long was our bonehead move. After 21-0 and the inexplicable seemingly indifference of Miles in arguably the biggest game in LSU history, the program was very good but not championship caliber until 2019.

Retaining Cam Cameron after 2015 because they looked good against Texas Tech in a meaningless bowl game was bad.

For Bama let me have 24 years. Bob Bockrath pushing out Stallings was the dumbest decision ever. Bockrath was a complete loser and set Bama on a 10 year swirl down the shitter.

Except the topic was the last 20 years. Hallman was early 90s.

There are some crimes that actually have no statute of limitations. As an Aggie, I will accept this answer. Almost as good as the long con Tennessee and LSU pulled on us with Chavis Regal.
