This Auburn “Ready-Fire-Aim” debacle is something else, but most of us have had them.

What is the dumbest thing your school has done in a while?

As an Aggie, I nominate poaching Fraudchione, but I give the nod to extending Rumlin before seeing what he does without Kliff and Johnny Football. We’re STILL paying that dumbass not to coach.

For Bama let me have 24 years. Bob Bockrath pushing out Stallings was the dumbest decision ever. Bockrath was a complete loser and set Bama on a 10 year swirl down the shitter.

Nah. It' Fran all the way. He cratered the program. As frustrating as Sumlin could be he never had a losing season and didn't leave us with a complete dearth of talent. Also, Fran had Reggie McNeal and Stephen McGee and turned them into option QBs.

I could make an argument for hiring Lane over Brian Kelly and Gary Patterson, but that at least made some sense and if Kiffin hadn’t bolted in the middle of the night, I think he would have had some success at UT. The 2013 and 2018 coaching searches were embarrassing, but still pale in comparison to the Derek Dooley shitshow.

Dubose, yes.

I'm not sure we had alot of choices with Shula... and he was a decent grab considering, IMO.

Allowing the inmates to run the asylum in 2015. It’s a miracle we’ve already reasonably gotten our feet under us.

What about him?

LSU hired Saban in 1999, so unless you're talking about the restaurant, it's outside the timeframe.

LSU DOES tend to make some wonderful DC hires immediately following national titles. Took in the Malveto experience after winning 2007, then let Pelini shred the record books after 2019.

Not giving Brian VanGorder a raise and then replacing him with Willie Martinez.

He made the best of a shite situation. He gets a bad rap. He wasnt great, but he too the job when it was less desirable than most.
