so pretty much you don't think there are tapes and that's the key?

or if there are tapes you still have a feeling there is reasonable doubt? (because there is no paper trail with a tape, just represented intent or something)

I'm trying to get a handle on what you really think here

There seems to be a handler who contacted John Bond and asked for 180k... Oh wait it Bond heard from a guy who heard from a guy.

Cam seems to have cheated multiple times and faced expulsion while at UF...Oh wait UF denies this

Multiple phone conversations were reported. If there were tapes, cam wouldn`t of been playing. The SEC would be retarded if they sat on them. WAIT I got it, some a-hole was holding onto them until the opportune moment. According to an unnamed source, Urban Meyer is negotiating the sale of these tapes to tmz.

mmmk, but what would constitute evidence to you?

do you have to just show he asked for money - or do you have to prove he received money from Auburn?

correct me if i am wrong, but just asking for money would still be a violation of ncaa rules and could cause them to rule him ineligible. tapes would be required in that case, not just an msu boosters word against his.

as i understand it... just asking is not a violation

even if they have him on tape doing exactly this they would still have to do some digging to show the paper trail (unless he admitted guilt)

this is why people who think there is evidence think this is taking a while

I`m not sure if asking for money is even a violation. I heard Dan Patrick say he didn`t think it was, but he wasn`t sure either.

i think it will take a while either way. anyone who thinks there will be a quick resolution is dreaming. we're talking about the ncaa and fbi here, not exactly known for their speed.

you shouldn't worry about Cam

He's going pro - whatever consequences that hit will fall overwhelmingly on Auburn, not him

so pretty much you don't care if something is probably true... you're mostly just in favor of lawyering up

?

you just said you don't care if Cam asked for money... you'd need to see evidence that he received money

So, it sounds like you don't care if he's dirty - you just want to put up a good enough defense to prevent Auburn from getting nailed.

and you said that asking for money wasnt against the rules and we all know that receiving money is against the rules. so, yes, i would be bothered by him doing something against the rules and not bothered by him not breaking the rules.

if he doesnt break the rule, how do you consider him "dirty"?

That seems like a softball question. Because he intended to break the rules of course

Do you consider a guy who asks for money to play college football clean? If so, I hope you're unusual

so youd prosecute him for the intent to break the rules, even though its perfectly ok and not against the rules for him to do so?

gotcha. we obviously see things differently.

I wouldn't be PO'ed, I'd be relieved that the SEC isn't gonna be embarrassed by needing to vacate a possible SEC Championship, a possible BCS Championship, and a possible Heisman.

I was actually pulling for Aubie after they beat LSU, to finally win themselves a natty title in the modern era. To give the SEC five straight, and by a fourth team during that span.

Now, I'm scared that Aubie could win those things, then need vacate at a later date, if proven guilty..and humiliate the SEC.
