Define "everyone else".
well, you say that its the "auburn fans" with their selective logic. how about the "other fans" with their similar selective logic choosing to decide that an unnamed source's info is a good as the truth

And, as I told you before in another topic, the FBI is involved now
again, just cause the fbi is now involved doesnt magically make the statements true. the fbi investigates lots of stuff that doesnt turn into a hill of beans.

I was referring to the Auburn fan I was responding to. Who, exactly, were you talking about?

Do you not understand your credibility and reputation have been damaged REGARDLESS of what is eventually determined?

when you refer to "auburn fans" that seems to imply them all as a whole. maybe be more specific next time?

I know it doesn't make them true but it sure as hell makes them a lot more convincing. Would you be willing to go to jail just to smear the name of a college football player?

I guess when you can't respond to reasonable questions, might as well post a cute wittle picture.

Clever.

And original.

i think many auburn fans would be willing to accept that in the end should they eventually be cleared while winning the heisman and/or the MNC

Maybe read the post in the context of the post it's directly responding to next time?

we have no idea what will be said to the fbi. the "unnamed sources" could tell them "oh shite, we didnt think the feds would get involved, we were just trying to start some shite with another sec school". who knows at this point? i dont and i dont think many people really do, its a bunch of guessing based on pretty much nothing but a bunch of rumors.

even if they stick to their story it doesnt make it true. if everyone sticks to their stories, someone is lying, and hopefully the truth will come out eventually.

Well, I can't respond to your so-called reasonable questions because they weren't posed in a reasonable tone. When I saw how mad you were, I stopped reading and started mocking you.

Thanks for playing. Try not to be so mad.

I personally don't think Auburn is lying. I think it is Cecil Newton who is lying. If Auburn knew that Cecil took money from a rogue booster I have no doubt Auburn would suspend him (meaning Cam) immediately.

Way to skirt the questions again.

And thanks for proving my point.

On second thought, I'll play it your way.

Your entire response to me was invalid because it operates under the assumption that I believe the Auburn allegations are true. You assumed bad faith about me due to a red script "A" next to my name.

To the contrary, I don't know if the allegations are true or not. What I mock are the apologists who insist -- with the same certainty that the rival fans who are piling on are showing -- that the Auburn allegations can not possibly be true.

It's like excoriating one person for believing something based on hearsay and circumstantial evidence, but believing the opposite for the same reason.

It's hypocritical and, frankly, more than a little dumb.

Auburn may not have cheated, but on the other hand, they may very well have.

Most reasonable fans would be pretty worried if this was happening to their program, regardless of the outcome.

Sure I`m bothered by all this stuff. I already spent too much time listening to every radio show and reading every article. But, I`m pretty close to a lot of the stuff thats going on and I haven`t heard/seen anything alarming. If anything my position has given me confidence that this is going to go away once the media exhausts it. Auburn in general is pretty calm, we are pissed at the shotty reporter work, but thats it.

Sure where there is smoke there is fire. But what real smoke have you seen? Its all speculative and reports based on hearsay and dependent on the belief that cecil newton is vain enough to sell his son for 200k and turn around and spend it on his church. People are so eager to believe that college football is so evil and that this shite happens all the time but it really doesn`t. The media and their viewers loveeee controversy even when its not there. We`re all victims of the 24 hour news cycle when the media has to create news. Brett Farves penis pics anyone? Celebrity news?

If some real shite ever comes out. Then I will disinherit auburn football for awhile. I find it incredibly hard to believe that so many coaches, faculty, players, and players parents have been putting on this front for 2 years. We aren`t this desperate to win... We aren`t michigan or some national powerhouse where a coach is on the hot seat after a mediocre season.

so the key for you is pretty much you don't believe there is a tape with Cam saying it will take money to get him? or the money was too good for him to pass up?

Because there seem to be tapes with him saying that

Or if/when those tapes emerge what will be your point of view? Still not proven until the FBI uncovers the paper trail?
