I admire your optimism - if not your grasp of the present situation

Auburn knew about this story since January.

And again in July.

You'd have to be pretty naive to think the head of our compliance office, who SERVED in the NCAA Enforcement office, didn't look into every crack before letting Cam take one step on the field for Ark St.

Awesome. THIS truly original argument again.

YOU'D have to be pretty naive to think that no new information or circumstances have arisen since Arkansas State which has caused this story to blow up into the giant tentacle rape monster it's become over the last week.

Auburn fans with their selective fricking logic.

Another ORIGINAL thought from a rival fan with no new information.

The shite Schad posted last night said that his "sources" reported it to the NCAA in January.

quote:

Mississippi State coach Dan Mullen said that he and his assistants are the only people on the Bulldogs' staff registered with the NCAA as recruiters, but he sidestepped other questions Wednesday about the latest allegation against Newton. Late Wednesday afternoon, Mississippi State issued a statement clarifying when it contacted the SEC and when it turned over information. The school admitted that it called the SEC in January "regarding an issue relating to its recruitment of Cam Newton."

Keep making up original fantasy land statements that have no factual backing.

Because, all I've heard the past week was from Bond / Rogers (known), coaches ("recruiters") at MSU that blew the whistle (known), and some dumbass cheating crap from Florida that has no bearing on any of this.

What new information is there, Matlock?

Please let us all in on what all those Auburn / NCAA / FBI insiders are onto over on BOL, Tidesports, BamaMag, etc.

Thanks.

Innocent till proven otherwise. The rest of the SEC fans are making asses of themselves. It will play out. If they wanted to handle the situation they could have with a win over Auburn.

Fact. This board has really embarrassed itself for the most part.

Anyway, in three days we get to try to get to 11-0 against UGA.

We win out, we are in the BCSCG (nothing is going to stop that as far as these Cam rumors, not even an allegation BTW). So, I am fine, we keep winning, we WILL be the national champs and Cam WILL win the heisman.

lol no point in arguing with some people. Apparently everyone is an expert on everything. To be honest, nobody knows whats going on. Everyone wants to speculate and believe that there is all this craziness going on. But if there was, wouldn`t the media put out better stories with stronger sources. We keep waiting for a REAL story, one with legs, one that actually says something so the media keeps dropping little nuggets that increase our hunger and some peoples hopes of wrongdoing. Auburn fans are guilty of feeding into it as well, but what else do you expect.

Joe Schad all but confirmed on Finebaum today that his sources were members of the Mississippi State coaching staff. And, I don't know if you remember back that far, but in 2000 there were PLENTY of unnamed sources flying around in the early days of the Albert Means scandal. All of that shite started when someone made an accusation - similar to what John Bond did.

And, as I told you before in another topic, the FBI is involved now. These "unnamed sources" are most assuredly known to them and I have no doubt that they have signed sworn statements telling the FBI that what they have said is true and verifiable. If it isn't then these guys are going to go to prison for perjury.

I think it's unnatural for you not to be at least a little worried. Most reasonable fans would be pretty worried if this was happening to their program, regardless of the outcome.

Define "everyone else".

I can only speak for myself, but I don't know what's going to happen or what the facts are. I'm not going to say for certain that Auburn is going to get hammered.

By the same token, though, I can't say that Auburn won't get hammered.

What I do is I make fun of the facts that are on the table now, such as the FBI being involved and Auburn staring down the barrel of a very real gun.
