Seriously.. Auburn fans are UAB's biggest supporters. That includes, over UAB alum.

We're the only thing standing between Alabama and world domination

It can be a good time and terrible hockey at the same time.

Jimbo Fishers contract would have been completely paid for by alumni and booster.

again, and if those pledged "contributions" had never come through as promised, how would UAB had paid the contract? UA's athletic dept. can cover the cost of Saban's contract without the help of donors if need be. UAB can't.

Same deal for he stadium, would have been completely paid for by alumni and boosters,

simply not true. They claimed to have raised $15M from donors and alumni, the stadium was estimated to cost around $75M. So should UAB take $60M from the academic side of the University (where it is absolutely needed) in order to build a stadium for a perennial loser?

Maybe they could hire Reuben Studdard to sing at halftime of every game. That worked once.

They've had 2 winning seasons since moving into the FBS in 1996.

when there is excitement they can get 25K+

Top ten games in attendance:

1 Southern Miss (2003) 44,669
2 Mississippi State (2006) 36,104
3 TCU (2004) 33,280
4 Troy (2006) 32,818
5 Virginia Tech (1998) 31,897
6 Southern Miss (2005) 31,363
7 Kansas (1998) 30,543
8 Troy (2012) 28,612
9 Houston (1999) 28,573
10 Mississippi State (2011) 28,351

9 of the top ten yrs, are all on separate years. They cannot sustain. They're incapable of it. And 3 of their best attendance figures, still can't get into the 30k range. In 18 yrs. 18 yrs, and only 7 times, they broke the 30k mark.

It's funny when Auburn fans like to say UAH and UAB should be given more money for athletics by the BOT when Auburn Montgomery's athletic program isn't even NCAA. What's Auburn scared of?

It's hard I have potential when you aren't given the resources necessary to compete. UAB a stadium, we can pull recruits from the area. Give us decent players and coaches and where we can win, and the fans will show up. Of course nobody will show up to legion field in west end to watch garbage football. You're delusional if you can't see potential in UAB athletics

I remember there being talk that the program was being eliminated due to funding cuts despite them having one of the best in the country. Maybe the REC changed their mind?
At the time, UAH was not one of the best in the country. They were actually pretty bad although they made the frozen four because they lucked up and won their conference tournament or something like that.
