cecil might be the biggest waste of talent ever.

Man, I'm the biggest Deuce homer around, and he was fantastic...but he didn't put up the yards that McFadden did. Shaun Alexander to me is the only guy that was close to McFadden in the past 10-12 years.
I think the only one who is shoulder to shoulder with DMAC comes from the Big XII, Adrian Peterson.

McFadden is sandwiched between these 2 guys on all time rushing list
Walker and Jackson...

McFadden was overrated and runs like a retarded caribou being chased by a lion.

I think WRT is rubbing off on you...or rubbing one off on you

D-Mac is just fresher on the mind. Su. Alexander is my choice. Wish he could have played everygame in Tiger Stadium.

It's DMac. But if your gonna consider Shaun Alexander, you have to consider this guy. I think he'd be a serious challenger for number one if he didn't only play like 20 games his whole college career, about half of which were at full strength, due to knee injuries and leaving a year early.
Finished with 2700 rushing yards and 3100+ all purpose yards in basically two years.
Also keep in mind that he played with Peyton his first year so passing was the premium then.

Alexander finished his career at Bama with 50 TD's.

McFadden and it's not close.

I'd put McFadden at #1 but it would be damn hard to come up with a top 10 list. Lots of very good ones

Shaun Alexander would be in the discussion if we're covering the last ten years. If 2000 to present only, Darren McFadden hands down. Caddy and Ronnie Brown would be right behind.

Fixed it for you.
Felix Jones > Ronnie Brown, and it's not close.
Felix Jones at 7.2 yards per carry, 3,000 rushing yards, and 5,100 APY is no lower than the 3rd best back of the previous 10 years.
And like I said above, his 7.2 yards per carry is a FULL YARD ahead of #1 Bo Jackson in the YPC category. But Felix is 14 yards shy of the 400 carry minimum, therefore not on the list and often left out of discussion. Hell, even he were stopped at the line of scrimmage for 14 more carries he would surpass Bo by half a yard per carry.

There are plenty of backs that an argument could be made to be in line behind McFadden this decade. Ronnie Brown was one hell of a runningback.

best running back sec last decade was the original question

As you can see, I don't always read the thread titles entirely. That being said, Shaun Alexander for the 1990s. Jamal Lewis and Kevin Faulk would have to be mentioned too.

Go back to 1999 UT had Jamal Lewis, Travis Henry and Onterrio Smith all at tailback..all thugs but all great runningbacks..
This decade lots of great ones. Cadillac and Ronnie Brown at Auburn and McFadden and Jones at Arkansas.
