he has proven himself in the NFL as the Saints all-time leading rusher despite missing nearly 2 full seasons due to injury....unlike a struggling McFadden who is an NFL bust.

Well give McFadden some credit he isn't playing for the Steelers ya know. Also I think we are talking about their time in college here.

I think the things that make McFadden's totals more impressive is that he really never played a complete year at Arkansas. Freshman year he did not start immediately, Hillis was the starter. He had a toe issue to begin a year and I think he also had some type of injury before the junior year.

Injured all season long but through 13 games, injured, he had 499 yards rushing, 285 receiving, and 5 TD's for 784 All-Purpose Yards at 5.52 per touch.
He also made the Cowboys his bitch 3 nights ago.
If that's a "bust", well, so be it.

He has his work cut out for him. He's getting close though.

Don't sell WRT short; he's had his fair share of comments about McFadden in the NFL that are just out of this world stupid.

We need a RB bust thread. I have a long list that would bring back memories...and felonies.

Can we include JuJu Harshaw and Cedric Cobbs on that list?

Deuce McAllister
I'd give the nod to McFadden based on the production, but Deuce was a very good RB.

its not even arguable. Darren McFadden would have shattered every record the SEC had had he stayed a fourth year and HE SHARED CARRIES WITH ANOTHER BACK THATS IN THE TOP FIVE AS WELL.

I think Deuce is great but calling McFadden a bust after 1 season is a joke. By your own logic, Deuce was a bust when he was out for 2 seasons.
Part of McFadden's challenge will be playing in Oakland. The NFL is all about the team you play on.

For the last ten year I don't think you can argue with the R-Kansas boys. RunDMC was a bad mutherfricker!

Deuce McAllister and it ain't even close.
Man, I'm the biggest Deuce homer around, and he was fantastic...but he didn't put up the yards that McFadden did. Shaun Alexander to me is the only guy that was close to McFadden in the past 10-12 years.

One addendum to what I posted earlier, however, since the title of the thread could be open to suggestion (that sounds kind of insidious now that I type it). The best running back that I actually saw during that time in the SEC was not McFadden or Alexander (their cumulative careers were the best). It was Cecil Collins. For the few games that he played, he was absolutely, positively unstoppable. It's a shame his head wasn't on straight, although I don't think he could help it. Some people are born with their demons.
