Why not? Pods make the most sense in a 16 team configuration.

By having pods you ensure that all teams plays each other, and that future unbalance in conference power can be partially balanced through creative scheduling. Pods also allow for a playoff system within the conference that can increase the prestige of the SEC winner in regards to the greater college football playoffs.

Obviously the SEC at 14 teams is kinda unwieldy. With pods the schools would play every other school in their pod and then face two other schools from the other pods (with those two teams from the other pod rotating every two years, so there would be home and away games) to form a 9-game conference schedule. Obviously nine games is another hurdle.....

I will just stop there. I hate pod talk too. But I swear to God if you ever triple bump this shitty thread again I will write a multi-post essay on pods so mind numbingly boring that it will make your children will be born with narcolepsy. I know you think you trolled the shite out of us or something when in reality all you did is piss off the cardboardboxer by posting the most inane realignment thread ever on this board.

Just let it die.

(S)He is just upset because, as you pointed out, if you do 2-8 team divisions he thinks the schedule would be better! As if people aren't b'ing enough about 2-7 team divisions.

& I still think the SEC WOULD keep cross-division games through the end of time.

I believe that @ 16 teams, there will NOT be an East/West Division, but more of 4X4 pods.

Don't you bring that shite into this thread!

Then YOU explain how to schedule a 16 team conference WITH DIVISIONS AND CROSS-DIV GAMES that will be better than the 14 team setup we have now!

ALSO, per YOUR "brilliance", explain how you're going to get UGA on board with a 9 game SEC, Aub., GT, + ____ schedule each year!

The whole thread says Clemson is the flagship school of SC and vastly superior school in every aspect.

Why haven't you changed the OP?

#1 in SC is USC

I have never seen someone get so offended by the contents of their own thread. That Clemson guy is giving you a run for the money though. History will prove you to be a legend or not.

The original members would NOT be cut in favor of USC Lite.

A&M brings a lot more $$$$ to the table than your school.

You have vastly over-estimated your worth to the conference.

I agree we should have gone to 9 games when we added TA&M & Mizz..

Okay, let's take a look @ your proposed plan:
7 Div. Games
1 Annual Cross-Division Game
1 Rotating Cross-Divison Game
==================================
14 YEARS to rotate through the other division.

4X4 pods = 6 YEARS to play everybody home/away
*Also has the option to play everybody in 3 year increments or H/A in back-to-back years.

Although, I'm still waiting to hear your response on this.

I can keep going. Clemson is the only change you need to make to your lists. We all agree with you, EXEPT kick SC out and Clemson in.

You thought it out pretty well but couldn't get your cock-colored glasses off to see the truth.

We offer more degrees and academic programs. To summarize, this past year we offered 93 bachelor degree programs and y'all offered 68.

Can you name some of the ones that SC offers but Clemson doesn't? I think 68 majors should about cover any field that you can get a job in though.

I would think the additional ones that SC offers are more liberal arts in nature, or a real niche field. I think I saw one called Museum Management. I dont' think it is a good idea to have a degree that specific. The others are probably journalism or business school related.

Clemson has an agricultural school and SC does not, and that includes things like food science, horticulture and turf grass and more life science / biology related majors in general

Other majors Clemson that SC does not are Genetics, Packaging Science, Architecture, Industrial Engineer

The East is a joke compared to the West - that alignment is way too unbalanced in terms of team strength.
