Their fans do actually claim 12. I was wearing an LSU cap in Vegas and an older Bama fan
immediately started talking trash about how Bama is so much better... and he specifically said Bama had won 12 NC's. I laughed and told him that they need to quit claiming NC's awarded by Readers Digest.

Regardless of what Bama claims or the NCAA recognizes, they have still had 8 unbeaten seasons in it's history.

LSU can only say that for 1 season; 58, and hopefully 2 after this year.
I hate Bama passionately, but you cannot deny their historical significance in this game we all love dearly.
