Depends entirely if bama hires a Les Miles quality coach or a Bobby Williams or Tony Sparano type.

I don't care who you are, coaching hires are a crapshoot. Just saying "oh we won't settle" isn't really an adequate statement.

Yet, have not been able to be the most dominant team in the SEC at the same time. Simply Remarkable.

Alabama's 2008 signing class set a four year SEC record for wins. What the Hell else do you call that?

And maybe you should go back and read my response to Joey. We both made the seccg game twice, Alabama played real football teams when they went, LSU played powder puff teams in their trips.

#1 and #2 is much different than #14 and #16

And our overall sec winning percentage is 10% better. I'll take consistency all day every day over a 1 game advantage in a 2 game sample, especially one with such disparity in opponent quality.

false, lsu has its own state to recruit from. Auburn would begin to dominate

AU has never "dominated" in-state recruiting in Alabama. Even when Tommy Tuberville had Mike Shula to play with. The state is 70% pro-Alabama. The in-state talent leans that way in most years as well. If Mike Dubose and Mike Shula can win 10 games on top of dealing with sanctions, I think there can be a smooth transition from Nick Saban to the next coach. But lucky for Alabama, we don't have to think about that for a few years.

When he kneels down to pray beside his bed every night, he repeats that over and over again. and with a glorious upheaval of heavenly might he yells WE ARE THE MOST DOMINANT....in the sec.

I agree with this, but if you notice, most of alabama's previous hires have been coaches that had ties to the program because we felt like this was a necessity. I don't think you will find this to be true anymore and it will in turn raise the winning percentage on that crapshoot exponentially higher than what it was with the old hiring philosophy.

In other words, it won't be a 1 good hire out of 6 like it was before saban. (not counting price, he never got a chance to perform)

When Saban is gone the recruiting will drop off, what are these kids looking at, well, a coach with a great record, a disciplined football program that scouts for Sunday football look for. They will look at the school that benefits them the most. But Alabama will still be a good program, but IMO I don't think it will be anything close to what Saban is doing. But the good news for bama fans is it will be several years before that should even be a factor, I would hang back and enjoy the ride my friends.

I'm assuming you're young and believe that the Alabama of 2000-2006 was the norm, and we are playing out of character with Nick Saban. The Alabama program has always recruited itself and will continue to do so. The facilities, coaching salaries, fanbase, and recruiting territory alone will demand that.

It all depends on who they hire. Will they get another Nick Saban or will they get another Mike Shula. No one knows.

I'm sorry you don't see the difference in those hires. God damn this thread is full of fail.

JHS isn't an easy place to play and they will be the most improved team in the nation this year, imo.

Don't be mad that Auburn is taking your spot as one of the three West powers. You just don't have the brand name to stay up there with the big boys.

I have to say it, you're trying too hard dude.

I understand not wanting to sound like a pure hater, but you don't have to suck off auburn to accomplish that. You always tell people to take off their crimson glasses and you're a mega homer unless it involves auburn. Just my observations. Auburn got BLASTED by the decent teams on their schedule last year and now im supposed to expect them to win 9 games and call UGA and ARKY a toss up? No

History shows Bama will screw it up. Unlike LSU following with Miles.

History also shows that saban will leave the cupboard stacked when it's time to retire, therefore a slam dunk isn't even necessary. The jimmy's and the joe's still outweigh the x's and the o's

Yes, and both of the schools mentioned return a lot of key players that scored a lot of points last year against auburn, and have much fewer question marks than auburn... I don't see how that's good for a 30 point swing. Auburn needs to get a lot better and have the teams above them get a lot worse to threaten last years big boys.
