Probably Saban. Spurrier is older, but he seems to have spring back in his step. He finally has the talent level at USC where the can consistently compete for the SECe. He doesn't seem to be affected by the grind like Saban.

Saban is looking older and older every season. I don't think he has, but maybe 3 more yrs at this level. He is not the type to just hang around and be avg.

An avg coach can win 10 consistently at Bama.

Durrr

Saban is averaging 10.8 wins/year after 5 years. So you're saying someone much lower in ability will average close to the same amount of wins/year as probably the best coach in the country?

lol

I remember asking this question to a Bama fan the year before Bear retired, and his answer was that "we're Bama, we'll always be good". Which is true perhaps but when Bear did retire, what happened to Bama? The bottom did not drop out but there was a natural drop off. The same with Little Nickie. And he will never last another 5 yrs, his intensity level is already starting to make him look older & older. Those tantrums he throws do begin to add up over time.

Dominance? 9 losses to LSU in 12 years is dominance?

hard to predict. Dubose-Fran-Price-Shula debacle can happen to any program. it can even happen to an elite program like Bama.

cfb is cyclical. Bama won't stay on top forever.

I think you misunderstood the question. Saban has not been at Bama for the last twelve years.

Since Saban's arrival at Bama, they have been the most dominant team in the country.

Yet, have not been able to be the most dominant team in the SEC at the same time. Simply Remarkable.

You'd love that wouldn't you?

Bama will hire another top notch coach since the saban hire has taught us that we don't need someone with a history with the school anymore. That was a major factor in our suckedge over the years. If you didn't have Bama blood in you, you weren't getting hired. We are past that now and it will help in the future.

Alabama would be better off to not hire a coach after Saban leaves.

Saban's recruits are so incredible - just the presence of another head coach would distract them from their greatness.

Bama has been, is currently, and will continue to be the elite program in college football...the one by which all others will continue to be measured.....Saban will leave eventually and Bama will hire another top shelf coach and will continue to compete at an elite level....we have had some bad coaches in the past....when we had good ones, we are very difficult to beat
