BamaDoc. Its nothing personal towards Yeldon or Bama. Yeldon is a very good back. I just don't think he is a special back. I think marshall is a good back but he's not special like Gurley. We haven't had a special back like Gurley since Hearst probably. The other Bama fan nailed it. Yeldon is good at everything but exceptional at nothing.

Will break Shaun Alexander's all time career yards record for Alabama this year.

quote:

Gurley doesn't fumble in crucial situations. Plays big in big games.

I have posted this in previous threads, but only 12 of Gurley's 26 career touchdowns have come against SEC opponents.

quote:

Fights and has an innate ability to pick up 3 yards out of nothing to get that first. More powerful and runs behind his pads better with a far stronger base than Yeldon. No homo but look at Gurleys thighs. During the dawg walk he looks like he's about to bust the seams on windpants. People with six packs aren't supposed to be that thick. Like a MJD but running a 4.5 at 6'1 230.

And yet from all that he still has identical career stats as a "baby deer on wobbly legs".

And if you can't win the west with Johnny Manziel you won't win it with anyone
By all means, everyone knows Texas A&M didn't lose because of Johnny Manziel. Put him on Auburn, Alabama, or Mizzou last year and that team wins the National Championship. Texas A&M's atrocious defense is the culprit and was the cause of the downfall of the team...

Guess we'll find out about this in about a month.

Before that . . . no one knows . . .

Yawn, yet another post expressing fear about Bama's likely QB this season.

Robinette has started SEC games and won (UF, UGa). Johnson has done nothing that compares to that. He was 27-37 vs Western Carolina and Florida Atlantic. Beyond those two games he hasnt done jack.

He has a different opinion than you. Sure, it is an unpopular opinion, but there is nothing wrong with that.

Agreed. If you can win a national title with AJ McCarron, you can win it with anyone.

Quiet, little Fawxie. You know all about trolling, but you know nothing about winning titles.

How do you please BamaDoc? Tell him every Bama player is the best in conference history? Is that literally the only way?

Thoughts?

Trotter wasn't that bad when healthy and Cam didn't look like the beast he would become when the season started (we barely beat State early that season).

That said...Coker isn't Cam. He might be Trotter.

Florida fricking sucked in 2013, and Patten Robinette didn't even start against Georgia. In fact, he played pretty terrible against both Florida and Georgia. He's not very good.

Seems to me opposing fan bases are more concerned over our QB for the upcoming season than we are. You notice who started this thread-little brother.

Yea. We are more concerned about the 0-line and secondary while everyone else is worried about our qb.

You're right, Robinette didn't start against UGA. But, he came in and led them to a win. He started against Texas A&M, against Florida, and also against Houston in their bowl game, which they won. He also scored the touchdown on the game winning drive against rival Tennesee. Johnson hasn't performed on the same stages as Robinette. He hasn't had the success and he hasn't earn the respect of his teammates the same as Robinette.

I actually think Coker will be a huge upgrade at QB to what you've become accustomed to.

So a huge upgrade from the guy that finished second in the Heisman race last year? Sounds good to me.

Yea, so did Teo. Who gives a shite about 2nd in the Heisman? AJ is a fricking embarrassment and a white trash piece of shite. IMO, of course.

Every new incoming QB to every program ever is hyped.

That's what fans do.

He had one good play the entire game. Prove me wrong. He isn't the reason Vandy beat Georgia.

Houston? Florida? Two terrible teams, right? Let's look at his stats for all these games... 27/59, 46%, 427 yards, 6 total touchdowns and 4 interceptions. Mediocre AT BEST.

NO WAY! NOT TENNESSEE! He came in as a situational runner and scored? Big deal.

Are you in Auburn's locker room or something?
