Ok, one statement at time....

quote:

He should've been more motivated to keep Les from being fired. Or was he not giving 100%

That's not the point, point is his team needs him more than ever as a leader, motivator and player since Miles was fired. If you don't get that...I don't know what to tell you.

quote:

Why would seeing a teammate play great upset him? Is he not a team player? Is it all about LF?

Of course not, he is the epitome of a team player. He was just pissed he could not be out there too making plays...he said it was the toughest three weeks he has been through since being at LSU. He hates riding the pine and that is why he was absolute machine when he came out vs OM.

quote:

The time off could hurt him, not being in game shape plus Bama is rested.

ummmmmmmm....did you not watch the OM game? He didn't miss a beat

quote:

If he's worried about the Heisman then that's a selfish attitude.

Every college football player wants to win the Heisman, and he is the greatest player in college football today. its one of the many lofty goals he has set for himself and anytime it is brought up that he has a chance? the first people he credits are his Oline and the entire team. He is far from selfish...just wants to be the best he can be.

quote:

Seems like you are projecting a lot of your wants on him, like wanting to beat Bama more than anyone else, desperately, last shot, etc. He could come back next year if he really holds all of that as a high priority in his life goals if we're saying LSixU after the game.

bullshite and you know it. He has stated he wants ALL of these things and why shouldn't he? Get out of here with this shite.

Also...I'll leave this here too. From Coach O this morning...

O on LF: "He's probably most motivated guy on the team. He's spoken to the team. His want to have success vs. Bama is as high as I've seen."

The last game between the two in Tiger Stadium, LSU out-rushed Alabama 183-106

LSU ran the ball 56 times for 3.3 YPC.

So, sure, if LSU runs 56 times and throws 18 times they could get to 185.

I said I expect LSU to get to 3.5-3.75 YPC. So, with an expectation that they run the ball 45 times, that is roughly 150-165 yards.

With all the talk about Etling throwing the ball I didn't expect to see LSU run it 60 times, and I don't expect them to run for 4.5 YPC. So, I'm not sure how what I said is homer hyperbole.

We lost to LSU in 2010 because Les Miles ran an inside reverse play to a tight end. I swear, human beings and their memories

You do realize that was almost 7 years ago and Miles changed after 1/9. Since 2011 he said he would change the O repeatedly and never did. Did they practice changes? Of course, but he NEVER implemented it in the game....so he technically never changed a damm thing for 5 years.

I mean, LSU threw the ball all over the yard in 2012 with Mett/OBJ/Landry. That offense was nothing like the offense in 2013 or 2014.

I'm not defending Miles, he got stale and his offense was archaic, but LSU and Cameron definitely changed tendencies over the years depending on personnel.

Last year he had one run in garbage time after a turnover that was 10+ yards. For the majority of the game he couldnt get past the line of scrimmage. 175+?

I can assure all of you Gumps that Nick Saban is a little more concerned with Leonard Fournette than you are and he would much rather see Les Miles, Cam Cameron and either John Chavis or Kevin Steele on the sideline Saturday night. Instead he has to try to use 3 games of film to plan for some crazy coonass HC and OC whose futures at LSU ride on this game. After 5 straight losses to Alabama and already 2 losses this year, we have nothing to lose. O will pull out all the stops. With LSU's talent, that is a dangerous scenario.

There is this. We have the better, Head Coach OC DC Talent. This tells me that your team will have to play over their heads and we will have to have an off nite for L5U to win the game. Good luck with that happening...

Wrong on DC and talent. LSU is jut as talented. Quit being a homer

worried about LF?

Worried isn't the word. Worry is reserved for things that truly impact my life/family.

Concerned about his talent and aware of the dangers he represents? Absolutely. Very much so. He's a very, very good back and if he gets going it opens up things for your passing game, so I'm concerned about what may happen there. If they hold him (relatively) in check, then my concern level about the game goes down.

What is Ogeron going to do that you think we can't game plan for? What is he going to throw at us that hasn't been thrown at us before?

PowHound don't be a Gump retard!! LF has suffered from horrible play calling and predictable offensive schemes his entire career at LSU. No single Bama player ever won the SEC, or Natty,so don't act like LF should have done those things. Stupid Stupid Gump that's called a red herring.

Henry greatly benefited from Lane kiffin! Lane realized he could run traps, counters out of shotgun which gave Hendry huge openings. Any pro scout knows if LF was in a better system he makes Henry look like the 5th best back in the nation last year.
