No argument there. Copy/paste of my thoughts on that from another post.

I dont. Les is going to be really worried about our DL depth and them wearing out in the 4th quarter against the Auburn up tempo offense. This is a legit concern.
But in Les's head the only way to combat that concern is to run 70% of the time. He thinks the only way to win TOP is to run until you are blue in the face. I don't think anyone has ever pointed out that if you actually run a balanced offense you probably will pick up more first downs and in return help with TOP.
Not to mention score more. But who cares about that really.

We'll be content to be confident, and you'll be content to say that Lawson is an All-American after dominating the Fighting Petrino's and an FCS squad.
Lawson didn't play the 2nd half of Louisville and did not play against JSU. The first half of Louisville he was in on every play..and he was dominant. If he can't play this week..we are screwed. Yes he is that good.

aybe the light will click on for JJ and AU's Offense, and their Defense will be great with Lawson back.

But I wouldn't bet on it.

and key for us had a sack and about 10 qb hurries on the most mobile qb in the conference. Wash.

Why is everyone getting so pissy about this?
I agree. I think it's a good breakdown. No problems here.

I don't think JJ is nearly as bad as what he has shown and would be just LSU's luck he flips the switch. That's a tall task in Tiger stadium but this will be a slugfest. LSU is gonna run and run some more. Even if Lawson plays it looks like it won't be 100%. This game will be a nail biter. Mississippi State didn't really test our edge and Auburn will. It will be interesting to see how the yound DE's for LSU and Debo responds to all the eye candy Auburn will throw at them. It'll be a fun close game.

I am still absolutely blown away by Key's performance.

Barber is good, but he's about to meet Kendell Beckwith.

Beckwith is going to break someone's ribs this season.

MSU had a 2* TE playing LT. They probably have the worst OL in the league. Too many unknowns for AU and LSU. This could be a blowout either way, but if Lawson and Mattews are back for AU, I could see this being a mid 2000s tiger bowl type game. Both teams will try to run the ball, and it will be a close game until the 4th.

No doubt he's a talented player. But LSU's OL is dominant. You haven't heard about them and that's fine and good. Lawson may be as good as advertised and I did see him making a lot of plays vs. Louisville.
But LSU under Miles truly enjoys scheming right at a marquee lineman like Lawson. Everyone always talks about La'El Collins' taking ownership of Myles Garrett's lunch money repeatedly in College Station last year, but when you break it down, we specifically schemed right at him all night. Especially early in the 1st half.
We ran Collins at him, and then we ran an unbalanced line look where we brought last year's RT (This year's LT) Chris Hawkins as an extra tackle outside of Collins on the Left Side, and THEN lined up Dillon Gordon (300lb TE) to the left of Hawkins, and then essentially stole Garrett's manhood. We did this specifically to take TAMU's strength and run right at it.
I would not be surprised to see us do it Saturday.

LSU's defense is big time overrated in my opinion. They did a good confusing Moo State with twists and stunts early in the game. When Moo State finally figured those out, they moved the ball up and down the field in the second half. This includes Dak Prescott absolutely shredding LSU's greatest of all time secondary in the second half

Or, the lsu Rush defense was so stout, Mullen abandoned the strength of his team.

It looked more like LSU decided to concede the short passes and dial back the d line pressure because the uptempo was wearing on them.
If Miles wouldn't insist on going 3 and out then the defense would get a break and continue to dominate.
