The only thing I know for sure is LSU has the edge at RB.

Its simple. I think Bama will lose to Ole Miss. Auburn vs. LSU is more intriguing to me because it can go either way.

Johnson will throw at least 2 picks vs LSU.

Lsu is going to shut down the auburn running game.

As a matter of fact, we are going to make everyone we face one dimensional.

to have a chance, auburn would have to beat us passing.
If you'd read my analysis in the WR category I account for this.

RB - LSU. Fournette is a far better back, but Barber is a beast in that scheme. Although Fournette is better all around, Barber will possibly have a good showing against LSU's thin d-line.

DL - Auburn. Carl Lawson is Carl Lawson.

We rotated 9 men on the DL Saturday and sacked Dak 3 times. He eluded at least 2 others. We also held him to his lowest rushing total since becoming a starting QB.

LSU held State to 43 yards total rushing Saturday. That's the lowest rushing yardage against total for LSU since the first game of the 2009 season.

Considering the talent we had on the field in 2010, 2011 and 2012, I'd say you may be selling the LSU DL short. In a very big way.

As a group, we'll see. But AU has two 1st round picks on the DL.

Fair assessment, can't argue any of your points. That Auburn DL is a strength, but possibly the only real strength on the team. LSU on paper should walk away with this one, but that won't happen. Vegas made a great number on the game. If I had to predict an outcome I'd go with LSU 31 AU 20 fwiw

That's all well and good & I'm not disagreeing with anything you posted. But the fact still remains that...

Why is an alabama fan breaking down an LSU vs. Auburn game?

So States O Line is shite as was predicted before the season began. Well, predicted by everyone but State fans.

LSU's offensive line ran the ball against a minimum of 8 men in the Box the entire night, and in the 4th quarter they were running vs 10 men in the Box.

LSU still rushed for 260+ yards in the game. Now I will grant that State isn't the same team they were on that side of the ball last year. If you'll grant that Louisville and Jacksonville State aren't in the same universe as LSU is from a Offensive Line standpoint.

LT Hawkins - Returning RS Junior (3 year Starter)
LG Will Clapp - RS Freshman that played extremely well
C Ethan Pocic - Returning True Junior (3 year Starter) that has played both G and repped at Tackle as well
RG Maea Tehuman - 5-Star Freshman that repped in the 1st half and replaced our RS Junior 6-5, 335 Boutte kid in the 2nd half
RT Vadal Alexander - Returning 4 Year Starter

We will rotate Boutte and Tehuma, and Pocic and Clapp may rotate some Center Snaps or snaps at Guard with Andy Dodd. Not due to lack of ability. Due to the wealth of talent we've developed with Grimes at the OL Coach spot on the staff recruiting.

Maybe the light will click on for JJ and AU's Offense, and their Defense will be great with Lawson back. But I wouldn't bet on it.

We'll be content to be confident, and you'll be content to say that Lawson is an All-American after dominating the Fighting Petrino's and an FCS squad.

This is why they play the games after all.

Why is everyone getting so pissy about this? The SEC Rant is made for this kind of fan interaction. If you just want to talk about your own teams, all of us have several websites just for that.

I dont really know how much rotating we did but that DL was gassed in the 4th quarter. Little to no pressure.

Teams are really gonna have to find a way to run on LSU. With our DB's we should be able to just load the box against most teams. We aren't even 100% back there yet, its absurd.

3 straight 3 and outs by your offense in the 4th quarter will create a strain that's for sure.

The 4th quarter will be important.

LSU, while very talented on the DLine, is thin. They wore down vs MSU. Barber could have a huge 4th if Miles goes back to picking his nose in the 2nd half.

Most due to the INSANE conservative play calling....But the O has to stay on the field.
