I still think you have ot contain with your DE and get pressure up the middle.

Exactly. MSU started getting pressure up the middle and they got to Newton a few times. He can steamroll anybody, but he has to get moving first. I haven't been all that impressed with AU's offensive line, which I thought was really going to be a strong point for them this year.

Have you played alot of 6'4 260 lb DE that run 4.44's?

Have you played against an elite and smart Defense with gobs of depth?

So the offense was balanced last year and it was called gimmicky. This year it's run oriented and now's it's one dimensional or a one man show.

What else are you guys going to come up with to make yourselves feel better about the offensive success happening at Auburn? It's pathetic.

Just saying who has impressed you on the ground other than Newton? Dyer had his first better than average game against SC. McCalleb is good only if he can get into open space. Fannin is not very good.

Yeah those DE must suck because they run slow 40s...real keys during the game.

AU has faced two big time NFL type DE's and ahve prevailed. If LSU has someone better, good for them. He will be needed.

Dyer hasn't been impressive?

62 carries for 310 yards. He has started two games. McCalebb is doing what he was brought here to do, go horizontal and find a hole. He's a change of speed back, he was never intended to be a focal point.

Darvin Adams, Terrell Zachery, and Emory Blake have been fantastic.

If you're trying to fire up Auburn fans you're not going to get much out of me. I'm going to make you look stupid if you let me.

I can't laugh at an idiotic response? Sorry.

If Auburn's offense sucks, then so does 90% of college football offenses because we are at the top, bruh.

better than average

Define what that is to you.

His yards per game has been low, but his yards per carry sits at 5.

Since when is 5 yards a carry average? He hasn't got the touches until the South Carolina game where he was pegged the starting running back.

You listed the size and weight of your QB like we don't have an answer for him or that we hadn't faced someone with his talent. We haven't faced anyone like him, but we have plenty of answers

I provided your answer , he is only one of our speed rush ends. Our DT opposite of Nevis was also a DE last year. Our defense is FAST all around

They need to get the ball more. I said they suck to piss off some fans, but seriously AU has some really good receivers and they need to get the ball more. The passing game seemed to improve against SC, but against Clemson it was either deep bomb or run. Newton needs to put more touch on the ball when he throws intermediate passes.

No offense, but USCe's defense is probably as fast, or nearly as fast as LSU's.. They run a 3-3-5.. Or so i've been told.

Or maybe the teams they played patted their stats?

Georgia certainly did...

Auburn is the worst team in NCAA history. Cam is the worst QB in the history of football. Auburn does not belong in the SEC, or D1 for that matter. We have only played Peewee caliber teams so far and we should have lot all of them by 4,000 points or more (each game).

Feel better?

5 yards per carry is better than average, but not great when you put it in context. His average wouldn't be that high if it wasn't for Newton drawing so much attention from the defense. All I'm saying is, if Newton gets hurt, AU is screwed.

Clemson has one of the best Safetys in the league. He had Newton's number all night. Why continue to throw and risk more turnovers just for the sake of distributing the ball to everyone equally.

Clemson took away our pass and challenged Auburn to run the ball, so that's what they did.

South Carolina was a different story. The pass was working fine, but one the third quarter hit South Carolina's defense was absolutely gassed. They couldn't wrap up Newton or Dyer, so Malzahn decided to bleed the clock and pound the ball. When we got backed up and needed a pass to convert, we got it.

You don't play football to make every game pretty and even, you play to win. If winning means an unbalanced attack then you take it. Look at Arkansas and LSU.
