your narrative about ACC makes no sense, b/c Va Tech has 4 titles, G Tech has 3 titles since expansion. Clemson and FSU have been better the past few years with NFL QBs but it is def. not a 2 team conference.

Which validates my point on how weak the ACC has been the last 10 years.

Auburn would have been mediocre in every conference this year.

Didn't Auburn have a shot to beat the ACC and National Champion on the last play of the game?

those rankings were just inflated early season SEC bias rankings. lol it is intersting that an AU burn fan is saying Clemson's schedule sucked last year given Clemson played at Auburn.

You are right an Undefeated Alabama and a one Loss Missouri were only ranked that high because they were in the SEC.

did they?

i don't remember people giving wins to Clemson for close losses.

reality is Clemson played like crap in that game with a lot of dropped balls by wide open WRs, and still won, .

wut does that say about the SEC if SEC fans try to make AUburn's close loss to CU out as a win?

AU played four QBs and two of them were Fullbacks.

That's funny. Auburn fans were pissed after the game because their team played like crap. And no one is saying Auburn should get the win. But if Auburn is "mediocre" and would be "mediocre" in any conference," why did they take the eventual National Champ down to the wire?

how is that Clemson's problem. that appears to be the excuse. your coach obviously hasn't recruited and developed QBs if he can't pick a single qb and stick with him.

Didn't Clemson have a shot to beat the 2010 SEC and National Champion on the last play of the game? In OT? When we finished 6-7?

See? That doesn't make any sense. No team just runs through an entire schedule with no close calls.

wasn't Clemson on the road in a huge stadium? You like to leave that out as though it is irrelevant. wasn't it the first game of the season? again, kind of relevant.

you are the biggest hack.

u got pretty fortunate to beat LSU at home, a team that fired its coach. lol i think was some home cookin behind that win.

Because as mediocre as AU was this year, they only gave up 19 points to that "powerhouse National Champion" while calling plays in the dirt.

ok we ought to just award you redneck AUburn fans the natty for that

why didn't you win at georgia if you weren't mediocre? that sec was so tough this year right?

you got so many excuses for everything.

Make it stop...

Anyone could see the SEC was down, and Clemson was a better than average SEC team this season.

However, anyone could also see Clemson wouldn't have won 10 straight 6 years in a row if they played an SEC or more specifically SEC West schedule in that time frame.

Dabo had never beaten 2 SEC teams in the same season till this year. He beat 3 this season. Congrats to Clemson. This year they earned it. If I were a fan I'd be excited but concerned what life without DW was going to be like. For all the talent on that D they still found a way to give up 30 points to 5 teams this season.

this i sjust more conference cheerleading. this is why people hate SEC fans.

the reality is alabama always wins SEC b/c it is not that competitive and little creativity on offense.

You are correct. But an ACC Schedule reduces the chances of having those close calls. I like my injury report after playing WF, NCS, SYRACUSE and even ND in a four week period. Look at LSUs last 6 games.

Exactly. The SEC had its worst season in 15 years and the ACC had its best season probably ever. What does that produce:

*ACC ends up with 5 ranked teams at the end of the year (#1, #8, #16, #20, #21)
*SEC ends up with 5 ranked teams at the end of the year (#2, #13, #14, #22, #24)

So the SEC's worst year is the equivalent of the ACC's best year. Congratulations ACC for being able to finally be mentioned in the same breath for once.

Every other metric to define conference strength since 2004 disputes this assertion. Alabama is the biggest bully in a yard full of felons. I would argue this season was the first where the SEC was truly not the most complete league in the country since 2004. Facts would support that argument. Head to head against other power 5 teams, wins over other ranked power 5 teams, etc...

I will add this to my post it helps define what I suggested.

reality is SEC fans like to piggyback on Alabama's success, and as an excuse.

hopefully the SEC coaches are trying to beat ALabama rather than suck up to Alabama, like the fans. lol

those rankings are simply b/c those teams lost to Alabama. every ACC team would be ranked 10 spots higher if they lost to Alabama.
