hoepfully AUburn fans will have something to talk about other than Alabama in future seasons.

I am an Auburn fan and quite proud of our 2 SEC titles, 1 National title and 1 National Runner-Up over the last 6 seasons. We also had 8 wins 3 times that I suspect would have been 10 wins if we played in other conferences because each of those years our teams had a glaring weakness that was exposed under the pressure of high level competition.

you suspect it because you don't know anhything about teams in other confereences. there is no a way SEC homer and cheerleader like you is watching teams in other conferences.

you are either doing propaganda or you have been heavilty propagandized about how great SEC football is.

the reality is alabama always wins SEC b/c it is not that competitive and little creativity on offense.

The fans in the same conference as Boston College and Wake Forest are telling us that the SEC has no offensive creativity.

Average Teams' Offensive Yards per Game against non-conference opponents in 2016:

BIG 12- 492.7 yards/game
PAC 12- 445.5 yards/game
SEC- 440.8 yards/game
ACC- 436.6 yards/game
BIG 10- 413.8 yards/game

Somehow the average SEC team still produced more offensive yardage in games against other conferences than the ACC... despite this "lack of creativity."

cherrypicking bc and wake is like me cherrypicking Vandy and SC.

i get you want to whiteknight for the SEC but that is hack stuff.

i think there are 8 teams in ACC that could have beat Auburn this year.

This is an interesting comment since you don't know me. I can assure you I watch football games from each league and understand the skill sets required to be elite when I see them. There are great teams, teams with great talent and the best scenario...great teams with great talent.

Some positions of talent are more important to success in this game than others. A 5 star WR isn't nearly as important as 5 star Dline or QB's per say. The Dline issue is where the SEC held a distinct advantage for several years. One reason for the rise of Clemson and the return to prominence of FSU is they also take advantage of the same pool of Dline. When Clemson and FSU had a generational type QB they both won a title as well. Hmmm...

The bottom line is simple it is easier to win in a conference where week to week you don't play NFL caliber players even if those players are only great talent but not a great team. When WF was hacking up the ACC they were doing it with a great team void of talent. There is zero chance you could do that if a league had a great team that also possessed great talent. Ask Washington about they game with Bama.

hey man do you ever talk about AUburn? you spend all this time gushing over Alabama. does Bama pay for you for this? It seem like they aren't even your rival.

personally i think NC State could have crushed Washington. they aren't used to playing agasint athletic fast defenses.

All since 2002...

*Alabama has 4 National Titles and played for another
*Florida has 2 National Titles
*LSU has 2 National Titles and played for another
*Auburn has 1 National Title... played for another... and got screwed not being able to play for another
*Georgia has won 2 SEC Titles and finished in the Top 5 three times.
South Carolina has finished in the Top 5
Arkansas has finished in the Top 5
Missouri has finished in the Top 5
Texas A&M has finished in the Top 5

all while the historical #2 team in the conference has been at their program low point and are suffering by having to wait 18 years and waiting since their last National Title.

It is pretty rich for fans from the Florida State Athletic Conference to be accusing the SEC of piggybacking on one team's success... but leave it to the fans of Clemson come lately to try to do just that.

so you are repeating excuses again?

you only got to the title game against FSU 3 years ago because of two or 3 lucky plays. that was a mediocre team and a bad defense.

Clemson is 8-6 against FSU last 14. and has most ACC titles, 16. FSU has 15. Virginia Tech has 4 titles since expansion. G Tech has 3.

you have a bunch of fasle narratives

FSU only dominated in the 90s when the conference was smaller and Clemson had fallen off due to Danny Ford being fired.

auburn ought to leave the SEC and go to another conference if they can win a natty every year in another conference. lol

given they are 0-4 against Clemson and FSU the past 4 games against ACC......

Since Florida State joined and literally became the ACC, they have 15 ACC Championships.

... Clemson has 2.

have the same number post expansion.

Clemson wasn't that good in the 90s so that is big reason why FSU won so many.

Auburn is 13-5-1 against Florida State all-time.
Auburn is 34-14-2 against Clemson all-time.

... pretty sure they would have done quite well had they been in the ACC. As would any of the Big 6 SEC programs.

i'm pretty sure most of those games were at auburn though. back in the day, Clemson would go play at other programs and get paid a lot for it, similar how small cupcake teams come to Clemson today to get paid for it.

most of Auburn's wins over Clemson came decades ago but redneck AUburn fans act like it matters. wut about the fact that you are 0-3 the last three. and 2 of those CU didn't have Watson. lol

CU almost beat Cam Newton's team with a QB most people can't remember.
