Are you retarded? They won 2 fricking national championships SINCE Spurrier left. If you think that's nothing,

Learn to read. We are talking about uf's "normal." Clearly 2 mnc are awesome but they aren't normal for uf at all.

I'm sorry I hurt your feelings, alabama is a good football program. Is that better?

UF is and has always been the class of the East. Maybe if UGA reaches Atlanta more than a couple of times in the next decade, then you might start pushing them.

Next year will be quite the challenge though.

Schedule sets up pretty brutal: @UGA and @Bama.....yikes....plus a late season game against Jimbo's Aggies and you guys get Kevin Steele's version of UT.

Luckily, ya'll have most everyone back I believe and recruiting looks good.

I think he meant Smart?

Anyway, the point is moot. Smart is a great hire and is doing an amazing job at GA.

Just not sure why you are on about FL. GA is rising, but FL has had a really good run, especially under Meyer.

I may be one of the only ones to think this, but Mullen is going to beat some teams no one thinks he will next year.

Most teams would kill for that.

Well, Awbarn didn't kill. But they paid $180K for one.

Exactly. If Kirby somehow wins the Nc this year he will be as good of a coach as Gene Chizik. Well, not really since Chizik didn't lose a game during his NC run.

Chiz had cam Newton winning nail biter games after games. Neither Gus nor Kirby have Had a heisman qb. We know chiz was a fluke because of that anomaly.

Try to stay on topic: We are talking about gus. His year 2 was 8-5. Smashed by Richt. He followed that up with more mediocrity years and still might lose 4 games.

Our Oline is a huge concern.

That opening game against Washington will probably be tough as well.

I think we currently have a top ten class in recruiting. Pretty good until you look at GA and Al.

But yeah those two GA and AL games look to be really really rough.

I imagine you to be around 50+, laptop sitting on your belly, maybe haven't shaved in a couple of days laughing every time you type Awbarn.

Try again...

East titles since spurrier left:

Uga: 6
Uf: 5

Top 10 since spurrier left:

Uga: 9
Uf: 4

Sec title since spurrier left:

Uga: 3
Uf: 2

Uf's short run was 06,08,09. That's surrounded by 02-05,07, and 10-17. What's the norm for them is the question? Clearly not top 10 football

Would you rather play Clemson for the umpteenth time? At least you get it in your backyard. Got to play a quality P5 opponent to get consideration for a playoff spot. AU beats UDub

LOL
This was not directed at me, but I am thrilled not to play Clemson.

Damn, we have played them much more than Florida this past decade.

Washington will be a big test for the new Oline. Peterson is a damn good coach. So yes, I am glad we are playing them, but it does add to my thinking that next year will be really tough.

Very glad to be playing someone besides Clemson, that game is played out. Malzahn needs to have us ready against Washington. Our first games usually look terrible and I really wish that would change.

Id rather play anybody but Clemson, but I don't get too excited about those neutral site games. I'd rather see a home and home.
We should be OK, but he is putting a pretty good program together out there. Too bad we don't get a chance to make a trip there. But at least we should have an established QB going into next year!

And I would say it was a quality investment, considering what it has done with Auburn University, the Carolina Panthers and Cam Newton specifically.
