I expect AU to be improved somewhat on offense. Not sure why AU fans wouldn't expect the same from UGA in our second year under a new coach with a maturing QB and influx of actual talent on the OL. Should be another classic game where we win like we have 80% of the time for a decade.

I don't assume we will beat uga in 2017. I do believe we were the better team in 2016 when healthy. If we played two weeks early the results would have been different, but that's football. Congrats on the win.

Everything in this statement is fair. It seems like no Auburn fan can ever admit that Georgia's defense played really well that day though.

I would assume you didn't watch a ton of Auburn games. The key to our O during our winning streak was a strong running game and SW's ability to hit the occasional open WR or scramble for a first down. Loosing Kam meant we lost the key component to our success. It seemed obvious as we ran the ball relatively well minus Kam early that if he'd been there that would have been better. Propts to your DC that you realized SW was injured and zero threat to throw the ball downfield. Then he made the poor throw which ended the game early 2nd half.

IMO that game wasn't much better to watch than the 3-2 debacle with MSU years ago. Both offenses were offensive. Our D just wore down as our O continued to go 3 and out.

What I saw from uga which makes me believe this season could be the year ya'll figure it out in the East. The D has talent. The QB has more talent than he played to in 2016. The OL is a weakness, but the RB's are good enough to cancel out that weakness.

I can't. They have a chance to be great if everything works out perfect, but probably an 8 or 9 win team.

Counting bowl game, 8 wins gets Gus fired.

Yea, to be clear. SW threw the pick 6. About 1 1/2 quarters after the uga DC figured out he couldn't throw. Reports aren't confirmed but most believe CRL realized he couldn't throw once the pick 6 occurred.

And Auburn is literally better than Georgia in literally every phase of the game
obviously not on the scoreboard though 13-7 in all seriousness this should be a really tough game looking forward to it.

#7 scoring defense returning with 9 players who started

First, Athlon says 7 returning starters, not 9. Not sure what metric you are using here.

Second, the defense lost three of its best players in DE Carl Lawson, DT Montravius Adams, and S Rudy Ford. Lawson, in particular, will be missed.

Third, Kevin Steele is still the DC, and he is pretty terrible.

Auburn fans have convinced themselves loosing CL and MA won't matter cuz CRG plays a 10 man rotation. Of course, we ignore that CL and MA were our best 2 linemen. However, our 2 best linemen from a talent perspective are both a year older. If they make a natural progression it should help fill some of the gap in the loss of CL and MA.

I would assume the starter confusion is about either the amount DL CRG plays or that Rudy was hurt and others started in his place. We do return a ton of depth on D. More than we have had in years. The LB's will be as good as we have had since 2007. Our DL looks to be solid against the run. If Holland continues to develop as a pass rusher or James is healthy and lives up to his JUCO play we will be fine on the DL. Pass rush from the edge is the area of concern. We are thin in the back, especially at Safety. However, I would expect the starters to be better than last season.

Who knows. Maybe the refs don't help y'all so much 2 weeks earlier. Maybe our oc doesn't call retard plays in the red zone.

No. Refs are part of the game. Stupid to ignore their mistakes. I just rewatched the game and forgot how bad they were. They let Matthews get away with a blatant late hit, Called back a 40 yard uga pass in a bs hold, and didn't call a blatant pass interference on a 40 yard pass at the au goal line. Those type calls are just too easy to screw up, but they did.

Agree to disagree. Our LBs were very good last year. With more quality depth, should be even better - perhaps the strength of our D

This is one of the stupidest comments I have ever seen, also to mention it is "losing". Everyone knows it's a loss, but this thread asks for Auburn fans to sell their team.

When you sell, you talk about the benefits and features, and the value of your team. Everyone knows we have lost some HP and Torque, but feel due to talent and depth it has potential to be a better riding machine.

Grow some balls bitch. Don't insulate yourself with some negatives so you can feel better should the team stub their toe.
