People who say Baton Rouge isn't a college town don't understand that there are basically two parts of BR. The surroundings of LSU, and the rest.

Staunton, VA

Come up to visit, first round is on me.

I'll make a believer out of anyone.

Not sure who would say as such. Oxford is gorgeous, though I admit it's been a long time since I visited and have no idea what all there is to do there.

Regardless, the scenery is worth the trip even if there wasn't anything to do (not that I'm saying there isn't)

...

Are they considered two distinct towns?

Would anyone not going to college there even know that?

"Experts "???. 10 nerdy sports writers who named college towns where they got laid. It took 10 of them to come up with a list, because they considered going to "second base" as getting laid.

Not one, but three are over 2 million in their metro area.

This is not a "college town". This is a bigass city.

The town does look beautiful. I'm only seeing 3 breweries based off of a quick search though. Is that right?

Three, yes. All within walking distance of each other though, and a lot of the restaurants carry brews made locally (but not specifically within the town of Staunton).

Though quality over quantity my friend. Shenandoah Brewing Company trumps about anything I have ever had anywhere, and I've visited may locales in the South and Mid-West.

No Tempe on that list automatically makes that invalid.

other than the talent walking around there isnt anything special about that campus.
I agree with Capstone on the Baton Rouge and Laramie picks as well.

Yeah Clemson is fine for watching a game and for one night, but it's so freaking tiny with hardly anything to do.

what are things that you can do in Athens but can't in Clemson? you can only go to one bar at a time.

I searched clemson and bars and came up with stories of students and out of towners being locked up in jail. Sounds like a horrible college town

Wow...
