That's nice and probably better than most towns it's size, but that pails in comparison to what Knoxville has brought in over the last few years.
We are up to:
1. Alliance Brewing Co.
2. Balter Beer Works Brewing Co.
3. Black horse Brewing Co.
4. Cold Fusion Brewing Co. (Taproom on the way)
5. Crafty Bastard Brewing Co.
6. Fanatic Brewing Co.
7. Last Days of Autumn Brewing Co.
8. Saw Works Brewing Co.
9. Schulz Brau Brewing Co.
10. Smoky Mountain Brewing Co.
11. Woodruffs/Downtown Brewing Co.
With about 5 or 6 of those breweries being in walking distance from each other in downtown. An Ale trail is currently in the works to help connect these stops even more.
Also, there are roughly 6 more breweries that are being planned to open no later than 2018. That's a total of 17 to 18 breweries in city limits with most of them being in or around downtown not to mention some of the incredible bier gartens and craft beer markets all over the city. The Bearden Beer Market right outside of campus was just voted the #29th best beer garden in the country fwiw.
While the town you mentioned is doing well for its size, it doesn't come close to what Knoxville offers in terms of a craft beer scene. Also, Knoxville has several breweries that I would put their best beer up against some of what's being made up where you're at.

I googled street maps of Clemson, and I saw a lot of dumpsters on campus. Says a lot about the trashy students there.

Charlottesville too low. Also, list is missing Athens, Ohio. And #15 - #20 don't belong on the list.

I'm surprised that Clemson made the list and not Auburn. They are so damn similar with feel and layout to me. We had a blast in Clemson when we went but it probably wouldn't be on the list if they weren't a top ranked team right now.
Honestly Clemson should be replaced with any number of southern schools. It's a fine college town, but it's basically a replica of an SEC town and has nothing really notable going for it.

Cookout appears to be the most popular going by cars , people at the place. but it is the most popular everywhere.

how does it replicate a SEC town.
and, what SEC town has a lake next to it, and near the blue ridge mountains.
i don't think any SEC colelge campus or college town looks like clemson so can't be any replication

Anyone who says Austin is not a college town does not understand the city nor The University of Texas
The growth of Austin is for two reasons the location and UT.
The culture and the research industry created from the university is what brings people to Austin
It is only about 30 years ago that Austin was not that large of a city

austin is the ugliest city i've google streetviewed. and UT is ugliest campus i've google streetviewed, or tied with like 10 others.

I was browsing around the deepweb and searched tigertown, clemson and college life. It seems there are a lot of murders, drug abuse, and prostitution. Sounds more like Newark, NJ rather than picturesque college town.
LOL...

having worked near newark for a few months
i can assure you tigertown and Newark are in no way alike.
lol
there are a lot of Jersey trash kids at clemson tho.
