Lol.
Les Miles at LSU
112-32
1 NC
2 SEC Championships
3 SEC West Division Titles
2011 National Coach of the year
Not to mention draft picks, annual award winners, all american players, all sec players, etc.
Top 15 easy no matter how much you want to clown him.

Seriously, I replied to the OP because the article was trash and he took it personally. Does he not know how this site works?

I like Les Miles around the 15-20 range.

Butch above Les, Gus, and McElwain is a terrible joke.
He's taken a 5 win trash heap of a roster and turned them into preseason NC contenders in 3 seasons. Butch is one hell of a program builder imo

Bielema too low.
Butch too high.

Preseason NC contenders
just because espn says it doesn't mean it's true

Great logic lol
I guess that means Freeze has been better than Saban the past two years based on head to head

Even Athlon and Phil Steele are on board

Yeah, I can maybe see above Gus/McElwain in the sense that he's a really good recruiter and has improved every year as apposed to the sporadic nature of Gus and the lack of years in SEC from McElwain but it's pretty stupid to have him ahead of Les. And cases could certainly be made for him to be behind the other two as well (which will be evident after this year).

25. Les Miles, LSU 10.2 wins per season in SEC for 11 years.
23. Butch Jones, Tennessee 7 wps in SEC for 3 years.
20. Dan Mullen, Mississippi State 8 wps in SEC for 7 years.
18. Bret Bielema, Arkansas 6 wps in SEC for 3 years.
I'm sure there's a logical explanation. For good measure, Freeze is avg. 8.5 wps in SEC for his tenure at OM.

Derek Mason at LSU would win more games than Les Miles.
Les Miles has only maintained, he hasn't built that program.

Butch Jones coaches circles around Les Miles. Anyone who says other wise is dumber than hell.

Everyone says it. VOLS average preseason ranking is #7 iirc.
Hope Arkansas has another successful season and can go bowling in Memphis again

Maybe because he gets top 10 recruiting classes yet can't win the SEC. Maybe the rankings are a look at the whole picture. As a coach doing more with less, would imply the coach is better but yet what do I know. Yes Miles can recruit and has a NC but LSU is more of a dominant power than Arkansas, yet Arkansas has out coached and beat LSU two seasons in a row.
If the article said game day coaching ranking then maybe.
When hired as a coach you are hired as the whole package. The CEO and head of football operations
Yes Bert has out game day coached and beat less 2 years in a row. During that same time frame he has also been out coached and lost to teams les hasn't.
les has finished in the top 5 four different times in his eleven years here. With more top 10 finishes.
He has 3 west titles, 2 conferences titles, 1 NC and played for another.
We are currently projected top 5 for next season.
He's averaged more wins here than ole miss has reached in any single season
If that's the 25th best coach in college football the world better watch out when LSU hires a coach around 10th

ITT LSU fans explain why the coach they wanted to fire last season is so damn underaporeciated.

So Sumlin is 3-1 vs. Mullen, and 4-0 against Bielema, but they are ranked much higher?
Who has Butch beaten?
Typical off season list.

I agree that Miles at 25 is horrendous. Like, there is no justifaction for him being that low.
However, just because he has a title doesn't automatically catapult him into the top 5 or whatever. I mean hell chizik won a title and he doesnt' belong anywhere near the top of a coach ranking list.

Well he did say "and multiple conference championships"...

Miles should come in right around 15 going into the season.
