He sure is obsessed but he's also correct.

Neyland attended Burleson Junior College in his home town of Greenville, Texas for a year and then transferred to Texas A&M playing football a year before receiving an appointment to the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York, where he starred as a football lineman and baseball pitcher and was the academy boxing champion.

We've just peaked success at the wrong times against tough teams. Like in the early 90's going 42-5 over the span of a few years but losing big games

what's your excuse since then? 2012 A&M peaked late and has been on a downhill slide every year since. A&M hasn't had back-to-back 10 win seasons since 1994. Prior to that it was 1975-76. Prior to that, A&M hadn't won 10 games since 1939. A&M honestly rarely has had even back to back 9 win seasons. That 4 year stretch from 1991-1994 was the pinnacle of A&M football and before all the money, facilities, media exposure, etc. It hasn't been about luck, A&M has never been as good of a program as Tennessee, like ever. What Sumlin has done is the norm at A&M. He was "lucky" to have Manziel for a couple of years

A&M had 4 total games that didn't require premium channels in 2009 and ZERO that didn't require cable. 6 games were unavailable on TV in any form or fashion that season

Poor aggy. They think they deserve being televised during (yet another) shitty season.

Who wants to watch milkmen running around grabbing their nuts while a bitch dog barks at them, with a losing football team?

Guess what? You voted for the TV contract arrangement.

You have been permanently scarred by TEXAS and your Big 12 stint.

Enjoy rooting for Sumlin to get fired next year, and the year after, and...

I don't have an "excuse". We just need to close out games and win 1 or 2 more a year. There's no "colossal leap" needed to be made.

What's your excuse for hiring Ed Ogeron and losing to a sun belt team?

Going from a consistent 8-4 team to a 10-2 is a pretty big jump IMO

I didn't realize LSU had anything to do with comparing the Tennessee and A&M jobs, which is what this thread is about.

Knoxville sux and tennessee is a lower tier job or else they wouldnt have dooley and butch as coaches. I would rather have the vanderbilt or kentucky jobs.

Knoxville crime rate is 71. College Station is only 29. LINK

College Station is much cleaner and nicer.

Also Kneeland Stadium is a total dump.

Average ranking isn’t everything. Butch had has great single classes.

but it says something when the entire state of Texas, with all that talent, has just 1 national title since 1970 A&M not being one of them.

That is a good mike drop.

Not sure how aggies don't see how their little bro syndrome comes out strong with these kind of threads. Who cares???

The SEC needs a strong Tennessee back badly.

It's weird seeing them be meh for so long.

It's been a better job since 1876 when A&M was founded.

Yeah this is something aggies, and mizzou fans will never get. They see UT down, and think that they will be able to tick their way up the board of importance.

They don't get how this you said is ingrained deep into the SEC, and they will never be able to break the top 6. We at the least respect each other for what we've brought to the conference.

The top/big 6 does not exist anywhere other than this board.

Nobody cares

What a none top 6'r would say. What no one cares about is an aggies opinion on SEC business. You'd get dropped in a heartbeat, and no one would care either.
