Note to stud high school WRs and QBs: Stop wasting your talent and risking your career by signing with schools like LSU and Alabama.

You will not be taught proper fundamentals at LSU and Alabama. They will not prepare you for NFL offensive schemes. Their coaches do not have the skill to develop QBs and WRs like the coaches at Arkansas.

Petrino (as QB coach and OC) coached up Mark Brunell in the NFL and sent him to 3 straight pro bowls. Arkansas has multiple WRs in the SEC charts.

How about a little humility? Yes, Petrino and staff is damn good at developing all positions, including lineman, but so are a lot of coaching staffs with many of them residing in the SEC.

You are correct in that great "skill" players (QBs, WRs, RBs, & TEs/FBs) should take a long hard look at playing for the Hogs and they are as evident by the commitments we have so far for 2011 and 2012.

I also think Petrino and staff has done a great job developing OL as well and with the addition of Klenakis, they have taken it to another level.

One other thing that has been overshadowed by the offense is that the talent level (and coaching) has continued to improve on the defensive side. We now have SEC type DL two deep with more great ones on the way. A lot of people try to paint Petrino as not focusing on defense but that’s just ignorant. Petrino know that you have to have a good defense to win consistently and he has us headed that way.

Hog futures have never been higher.

Brohm was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the second round (56th overall) of the 2008 NFL Draft. As a rookie, he was the third quarterback on the depth chart behind starter Aaron Rodgers and backup Matt Flynn. He was waived on September 5, 2009. Just days later, Brohm was signed to the practice squad.

Hilarious. Matt Flynn, recruited by the Alabama coach and won a national championship with the LSU coach. Maybe you should be telling the recruits to go to FSU to be coached by Jimbo.

The WR part is just too easy.

Maybe Mallett? Maybe you are right. Petrino really doesn't know how to coach QBs and his reputation for developing QBs, by most who actually know something about football, is unfounded. A message board football expert's opinion should carry much more weight.

No joke. Have you seen Auburn and Oregon!? DOMINATING defensive teams right there, bub.

I saw the barn give up 3 points in the second half against Bama.

And if and when the barn plays the ducks the team with the best defense will win.

I love the Razorbacks, always have, but making statements like this only makes fans from other schools really know how stupid some of our fans are. We had a year, but lets not carry this too far. We haven't won a NC in the SEC football yet. There are schools with multiple NC in this conference. Lets enjoy this year and work on next year.

Correlation =/= causation. Casey Dick landed on an NFL practice squad after one season with Petrino. Case fricking closed.

yeah kinda like jamarcus russell, ryan leaf, akili smith, and all the other freak of nature, can't miss talents. if mallett continues to make poor decisions throwing the ball like he did against bama and twice against lsu, then he won't last long in the nfl. doesn't matter how strong his arm may be

he landed in training camp with an nfl camp, not a roster, and matt mauck and john parker wilson did the same thing so what does that really prove?

actually both players did more than Dick.

JPW was on a PS and is now in the active roster for the falcons I believe.

Mauck played for the Titans (my fav. team) and broncos for a few years.
