you must not be familiar with DaleDenton. he trolls hard and often, he's not really representative of the fanbase here.

I'm very familiar. I wasn't even talking shite about Arkansas. I was defending Alabama's development of offensive talent.

yeah, i'm just saying, it's DaleDenton, you can't really expect much more than shite talking from him.

you have a great program. i'd love if arkansas ever reached the level where 9 wins and a cotton bowl berth are huge disappointments.

that said, back to the subject at hand: petrino has put every starting QB he's had in the NFL except for Casey Dick (and even he got a tryout). Our passing attack is top in the conference. there is a legitimate argument that Arkansas is the best for QBs and WRs, and that's not denigrating any other team in the conference.

Are you fricking kidding me? Arkansas finally makes it to bowl worth caring about, and you're going to talk shite. Tell me again, when is the last time Arkansas beat Alabama? Jesus, talk about what have you done lately. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. I guess anything less that 12 wins or so for Alabama is fail.

Don't lump us all together, I don't have this mentality. BUT some of the Hog posters are like that because LSU and Bama fans have that mentality toward Arkansas. You gotta admit, LSU and Bama fans (a lot of them) are some smug/douchebag motherf*ckers when they are at the top.

wmr said it best in another thread. Arkansas fans have been called "arrogant" non-stop by the LSU fans for the past week just for acting like we can win the game. it's been non-stop "know your place, you can't make it to the Sugar, you're Arkansas."

Arkansas has 3 1st to 3rd round WR's.

not right now:

Childs is the 12th ranked WR for the '12 draft.

Adams is the 43rd ranked WR for the '12 draft.

your other WR isn't even in the top 50 for the position.

I have trouble getting worked up over Arkansas, especially because we kick your fricking arse every year. And I do mean EVERY year.

But I think he falls short of Petrino at scheming and playcalling.

Please don't talk about play calling so soon after the fiasco known as the Iron Bowl.

Julio might stay another year. He's that kind of guy.

Note to stud high school WRs and QBs: Stop wasting your talent and risking your career by signing with schools like LSU and Alabama.

You will not be taught proper fundamentals at LSU and Alabama. They will not prepare you for NFL offensive schemes. Their coaches do not have the skill to develop QBs and WRs like the coaches at Arkansas.

Petrino (as QB coach and OC) coached up Mark Brunell in the NFL and sent him to 3 straight pro bowls. Arkansas has multiple WRs in the SEC charts.

Getting a little desperate already I see.

Got news for you bub. Defense wins championships.

You should have left it at LSU. Alabama seems like a decent enough school for those positions. But why any kid would go to LSU to be a QB or a WR is baffling to me. I know it's a great program and they put lots of people in the NFL. But that doesn't change the fact that in recent history the QB's have sucked and the WR's suffer for it.

Yes, Arkansas is quite the hot bed of QB talent.
Casey Dick 2007

Mitch Mustain 2006 / Casey Dick 2006

Robert Johnson 2005 / Casey Dick 2005

Matt Jones 2001 - 2004

Robby Hampton 2000

Clint Stoerner 1997 - 1999
