We fire coaches for 10 wins, yall brag about 7. That tells us a lot about where our programs are. Wide gap between us.

Can we play in the East for a few seasons?

AS absolutely horrible east was this year, UGA STILL couldn't win it, then had to go out and hire a assistant to hope they get lucky. Nothing says "oh no! we suck again!" like hiring an Assistant Coach to be your new HC.

they were with Richt as well

what sucks for ya'll is Miami made a better hire than Georgia

Absurd for you to be suggesting that smart didn't learn the process inside and out as Sabans right hand man for the past 8 seasons.

They weren't to the extent they are about to be, and no.

You seem to be assuming the gaps between all spots are the same. Even if we were back to back, it wouldn't necessarily mean their wasn't a wide gap.

Mainly because he doesn't need to use two seats while watching a sporting event. Also, It's a good thing our coach is so hard working and focused that he lacks the time or care to worry about hair cuts.

Although I didn't like Pittman leaving,I'm pretty exicited about this hire.Kurt appears to be fundamentally sound,he's young and should bring a good bit of energy and experience into the position.I don't think he'll have a problem recruiting especially in Beliema's system which always turns out good o linemen...I trust Beliema on this and all new hires.

He's pretty much purged the weak links from his initial season...Btw,I don't think Pittman was one of these...

Dude, just stop it. please...
GA hasn't done anything, and I mean anything in a very loooonnnnggg time. And fired one of the best coaches they ever had for not getting over the gap in a very weakened SEC East. You don't play Bammy, LSU, Auburn, The Miss Schools, and TAMU every year.

LOL, Mizzou won your division two years in a row after coming in from the 12... Cmon dude.

Yes, I love GA usually. Great fans, awesome program, much more class than others in the SEC... Until this.

Because the truth is the truth. As a program you are not much different than Arkansas at the present stage. Perhaps you will be, but the past 10 doesn't prove it much. Not with that record in the Least...

There isn't a wide gap, crack star.

In both the programs history, UGA averages about 0.50 more wins per season than Arkansas. Georgia has played football for 124 years and won 788 games. Arkansas has played for 121 years and won 703 games.

Georgia has two National Titles, with the last being 34 years ago
Arkansas has one National Title, with the last being 51 years ago

Georgia has won 14 Conference Titles
Arkansas has won 13 Conference Titles

Georgia has finished ranked in the AP poll 35 times
Arkansas has finished ranked in the AP poll 29 times

Now, continue to think that UGA is in some sort of "class" above Arkansas. Reality is, the UGA program is about on par with Arkansas. Historically speaking, and presently speaking. UGA isn't Alabama, Auburn, Florida, or LSU.

Now, exit stage right....

No one is talking about historical ranks going back into the 1800's, but since you brought it up, our overall winning % rank is 13th and ark 28th, which is rather wide.

For more relevance, We could do more recent comparisons like since 1992, this century, past 2,4,5,10,15,20 years, but I understand why you wouldn't want to.

You shouldn't want to.

Georgia hasn't done anything on a national scale to warrant you arguing with me about this.

You're over inflating your programs worth by a ton.

We could run through the East like a big dose of salts through a little bitty feller.

Since 92, Uga is 10th in winning % compared to ark at 45th. It's embarrassing you consider that "close".

I do but you never explained your point. Is "since 1992" not proper context?

1992 is fine but two main factors present themself: division and location. You can't compare the type of talent that has come out of Georgia to that of Arkansas. The West has also been a tougher division. Georgia has still been the better football program since 92 but it has been closer then you appear to think.
