Championships =/= NCs only.
DVH will never win a NC, he needs to focus on winning the SEC in some form at some point.
His main goal for the SEC-T is to have his players back in town by Saturday night.
That strategy is fine when you are not flaming out in the regional as a high seed the following week.

They did plenty of that just to get there. They were 11-12 at one point in the season.
Yesterday, he couldn't make his catcher throw on line. He couldn't make his players not hit into inning ending DPs, he couldn't make them get timely hits when needed.
It's baseball, man. shite happens. You're judging off of one game and not what it took just to get them there. After they killed Missouri State in the first game, everyone was ready to mark them in the CWS. Look what happened the last 2.
This team was not very talented as a whole and didn't have it all. Not to mention the injuries sustained.
Sorry, not sorry they got there with excellent coaching and plain moxy.
