Ahh...posting about the past.

Ignore the fact South Carolinas current coach has gotten worse each year and completely missed the post season.

talking about the past, classic tell tale sign of a program in decline.

Still pisses me off we didn't win it all in 09, most talented team doesn't always win in baseball unfortunately. Hell there might not be another college team that has a rotation like that for a long long time.

I seriously didn't know Arky had that impressive a team in 2009. By all means this is no troll, I just remember LSU absolutely destroying yall in both games and just feeling totally not scared of having to play you. I mean, I guess maybe that makes LSU look better seeing yall did have all those high draft picks but I was honestly much more worried sbout teams like Texas, UNC, CS Fullerton that year.

I just went back and checked Arkrkensas was a 2 seed that year (34-22). So are you saying DVH did less with more a whole lot that year, got hot enough to get to Omaha and then choked again? Because on paper going in to that CWS, he did a great job just getting their, kinda like this year. Sure yall had a great rotation in 09, but if I remember correctly not much offense.

Those players were on the team....but

Smyly didn't really become a dominant guy until the regional in Oklahoma. Bolsinger was an erratic starter at times. Keuchel was definitely the ace, but he started our first game against Fullerton and then also came in against Virginia to shut the door on them.

LSU was certainly the Hogs thorn that season. McCann was on the team, but he was only a freshman.

We always have pitching and no offense, until this year. He can't put together a complete team.

But in his defense, no one in the world watching that 09 team woulda thought Keuchel would be a Cy Young candidate for the Stros, or Bolsinger a top 4 starter for the Dodgers, or Smyly being as good as he has and a top 4 starter centerpiece of Price trade.

McCann being the Tigers starting C isn't surprising, he had it all and it was very obvious.

Also the weekend rotation for most of the season was Bolsinger, Keuchel, and Eibner.

Smyly was mostly a midweek guy. McCann was playing behind Cisterna and the best prospect on the team was Zack Cox.

I believe we moved Bolsinger to the pen for a period as well or he started the year there.

Yea. That's right.

Our weekend rotation was Eibner, Keuchel, and Forrest.

Bolsinger came out of the pen most of the time and Smyly was a midweek guy.

That's all he aspires to do, rack up the participation ribbons and claim mediocrity to be greatness.

Show be another program who invests as much into the program as Arkansas is is as satisfied with "just getting there".

I don't know you and you don't know me but you're starting to sound like a broken record. Someone from another team actually said on this thread that they couldn't wait to see you're reaction to the thread specifically. They're pretty much flaming for your reaction.

DVH hasn't won a championship of any kind since his second year with a largely inherited roster.

Tell me where a decade later, that and participation ribbons are enough to earn a substantial raise and have substantial amounts of money given for infrastructure, as well as having one of the top attendances in the country?

Only Arkansas.

Every one else expects a ROI.

I understand where you're coming from, absolutely... We coulda had three different coaches in the last 10 years just waste talent and not even make it, though.

I'm not a huge baseball fan but I'm satisfied. The only two baseball games I've watched in 5 years were these last two against the missouri school. I wouldn't have watched if it wasn't for omaha...

No one melts down over college baseball.

Starbucks employees fricking up my drink order rustles my jimmies more than DVHs mediocrity in a sport that doesn't matter.

Just fricking win?

They did plenty of that just to get there. They were 11-12 at one point in the season.

Yesterday, he couldn't make his catcher throw on line. He couldn't make his players not hit into inning ending DPs, he couldn't make them get timely hits when needed.

It's baseball, man. shite happens. You're judging off of one game and not what it took just to get them there. After they killed Missouri State in the first game, everyone was ready to mark them in the CWS. Look what happened the last 2.

This team was not very talented as a whole and didn't have it all. Not to mention the injuries sustained.

Sorry, not sorry they got there with excellent coaching and plain moxy.

Apples/Oranges

Arkansas has invested more into the baseball program than the basketball program since 2000.

DVH followed Debriyn who left him his only team capable of winning a championship.

You Ar Kansas people need to lighten up. No natty means fire a coach? How about the fact that he got you to omaha. Your two and pig Bar B Que this year. Get over yourselves and your investment and be glad to be in top 8.
