Doesn't mean it's true. But the allegation is that's why Barnett left in the middle of the season. There was a divide in the locker room about who should start and it was split along racial lines

So Barnett is sacrificing himself for racial harmony?

When the band geeks start doing something, you can be sure the fad is almost over.

When something to this effect comes out in a week or three are you gonna come back and apologize?

If any FTAB members pulled the shite that ECU's did, I don't think I'd stop physically shaking with anger for a solid week.

At least.

Noticed that Saban plays it safe by keeping players off the field during the anthem. Can't say I blame any coach for taking that approach

Pretty sure most teams do

I have been hearing that you give BJ's behind the dumpster at Wal Mart. Don't know if it's true but I heard it.

It's amazing how some people are so up in arms over people peacefully protesting are often the same people who PROUDLY publicly disrespect the POTUS (often border lining on Racism.)

The hypocrisy is astounding, even though these people don't realize that they are inacting the same rights as the flag protesters.

Some things should really just be off limits. Is it ok if I protest during prayer? A funeral?

Criticizing the government and it's policies is actually about the most American thing you can do.

What about the government or its policies are they protesting. That's what's stupid. They're protesting the govt over police shootings of one particular race. Not police shootings of every race. Just one race. That's not a govt policy. In fact the govt has investigated every single one of these shootings. The DOJ. As in Eric Holder. As in appointed by Obama. They don't understand what protest means. To protest, there has to be some kind of resolution you want. And when you get it, you end the protest. What is their end game to this? I'll tell you what it is. It's when they stop getting attention. As soon as the attention was obtained, all of a sudden the protester needed a huge wild hair do. "Hey look at me!!" Quit putting them on TV. Stop talking about it. Guess what, it'll become a little too much trouble to protest. The hair do will no longer seem cool. Back to business.

Meh, many of the same people all of a sudden so taken aback by disgust with a sitting president also excoriated Bush with great gusto. The train of hypocrisy rolls on in that regard.

The flag is supposed to be bigger than that, though.

Really odd that nobody that is close to the program has indicated any such a thing.

To be fair, I've heard it said that he had become "toxic" in the locker room and as a result some were glad to see him go.

The nature of the "toxic" was not elaborated upon though.

A funeral?

The anthem protests are a lot like the soldier funeral protests. They are designed to piss people off. It's unfortunate, because there is merit in their cause. But it is buried underneath this divisive protest.

Feels as if most college teams are in the locker room during the national anthem

This wasn't a protest by the team, it was 19 band members that kneeled and refused to play.

As much as he likes to think so, Barack Obama is not the United States of America.

The National Anthem honors all of those who sacrificed to make this nation the greatest nation in the history of the world.

Yea, and that's in spite of our original sins of racism and Jim Crow.

These people are nothing but drama queens whose familiarity with the truth about these police shootings is about as reliable as Bill Clinton being left alone in a room with a 22 year old intern.

You're comparing those two things? Kneeling during the national anthem and protesting a fallen soldier's funeral?

It obviously offendeds you. But wanting someone punished for offending makes you no better than a sjw.
