Im just not sure if I would draft any RB top 5 nowadays.

If I had a favorite pro team I would be against them drafting a back that high.

But if it had to be anybody in the last couple of years it would definitely be Trent.

Yep, his vision is what makes TR better than most...If you go back and watch Bama's games you will see TR wait until the last moment as he hides behind his oline and then he hits the hole which is least restricted. He has the uncanny knack for doing it at just the right moment for maximum gain as well.

In the NFL coaches salivate over one cut runners and TR is exactly that, add to that a tremendous center of gravity, good speed and a pad level that is perfect for running forward and you have a stud.

Based on the consensus I guess I am wrong about Trent. Unlike some people I will admit I'm not always right. Didn't mean to piss everyone off I was just askin.

Trent wasn't even that bad against LSU. He had 169 yards rushing and receiving in the first game despite having no holes to run through with LSU stacking the box and he ran for 96 yards in the second game. If the OP considers those two games to be mediocre performances, his standards for being good must be awfully high.

OP apparently feels that LSU's defense wasn't very good.

A possible top-five draft pick, the physical 227-pound Richardson ran the 40-yard dash in the 4.45-4.49 range, according to NFL.com. He bench-pressed 225 pounds 25 times.

I already admitted I was wrong based on the consensus here, now lay off.

That said, all-purpose yards can be misleading. Any sec caliber RB can get 169 all purpose yards if given enough touches.

I think he's much better than Ingram. Watching him play against anybody other than LSU, it's evident that he's a bull with the ability to get tough inside yardage and good enough speed to break some pretty big runs. Against LSU he was getting hit a lot within the first few steps after he got the ball, but he was still a load to bring down.

Even as a fan of the good guys, I have to say Trent Richardson is better than Mark Ingram, and will be a great every down back in the NFL.

TR is the best SEC running back since Darren McFadden.

And he is going to have a HUGE positive impact on whatever team drafts him in the NFL.

The kid is one bad-arse running back... period.

he really isn't that good. He couldn't even gain 100 yds on LSU in his own stadium

Trent always had trouble breaking tackles. I was less than impressed with him whenever he played Arkansas. Can't think of a time when he truly shined in this league...

You're kidding, right?
