Richardson is a freak of nature. He has a low center of gravity, is built like a tank, has above average speed, strong as an ox, excellent at catching the ball out of the backfield and he's never injured. He's not the "big play" type of back like McFadden, CJ2k or Adrian Peterson. He's more of a durable back that you can bank on a 4-7 ypc average. Think MJD, Michael Turner and Ray Rice. Not saying that he is in the same mold as any of these backs but I think he'll be more of a solid producer over his career rather than a record breaker.

I know RBs are becoming undervalued in today's game, but Richardson would be my take if I were the Browns at #4.

You're not even in the ballpark, much less near a base!!

I wasn't impressed with Trent either, especially compared to Ingram. Ingram could crush a golf ball. I bet Trent is a 40 handicap.

Richardson is more than just a tough runner and a great catcher out of the back field. He can split wide and run routes as good as a lot of WRs can, he can stay in and be a BEAST in Pass Protection, he doesn't get injured often, and even when he did he still had over 100 yards of offense against one of the most impressive defenses ever in College Football. Basically, he's going to be a consistent runner for 6-8 years in the NFL (he only started for one year, so he doesn't have as many miles on him as a lost of guys do.) rushing for at least 900 yards a season, with no less than 4 1,200 yard seasons, in my opinion.

Yes, and the general consensus indicates yes.

Trent always had trouble breaking tackles. I was less than impressed with him whenever he played Arkansas. Can't think of a time when he truly shined in this league...
trent broke more tackles and took it to the house on one run, than all of arkys backs did for a season. o how short your memory is, lol.

Are you familiar with sarcasm?

I get ticked every time I hear one of the talking heads say something about bad offense in the NCG, did they watch the rest of the country against these defenses? Both teams had offenses that put up PLENTY of points on everyone else sans each other (and LSU had an average offensive night vs MSU but then again we always do)
So if you put any other defense out there besides the two we saw Jan 9th you end up with a route, just like the other 11 victims LSU and Bama faced. Logic defies the media at times.
Richardson did more than what any average back would have been able to do vs the defense he was playing. He controlled the ball and moved the chains. Any NFL team will be glad to have him.

Ok there's my answer. Not on the wrong board tho. It was LSU related.

That would be correct, as I hardly ever post on the SEC Rant.

TR played with a hurt knee. He had it scoped after the NC game. That was why he was on the sideline when he would have normally be in the game.
He ran a 4.5 or so at pro day.
He may not test fast but how many times did someone catch him from the rear?
