While I agree that Louisiana typically has produced a lot of very good receivers, there's no guarantee that every recruiting cycle will include them. We have no idea how the receivers from the 2023 and 2024 classes will even pan out yet.
There were days when Louisiana produced great quarterbacks....

Why couldn't Andy Lopez win with his own recruits? Maybe he did a poor job of coaching them. The more likely answer is that they were still young, inexperienced players, and young, inexperienced teams don't win championships.

I'll just take the "wait and see" approach. Nothing else we can really do.
Johnson made the CWS finals his first year at Arizona, presumably with the former coach's recruits. He won the CWS hare, with Skenes, White, Cooper and Mainieri's recruits.

A sweep of Ole Miss is certainly possible, but highly unlikely. This team just hasn't shown it can play good baseball for three days. It barely escaped losing the series to Auburn....

If some of these guys develop into NFL players, that's fine. If they don't, that's fine, too. It's their future, and it's up to them.
But I don't personally care about their NFL future; I care about whether they can help LSU win in 2024. Wingo was tremendously important for the 2022 team, played ...

So now SEC players are "discouraged" from transferring to Texas or Oklahoma during this Spring portal period?
Unless there is a specific clause in the contract that specifically addresses this Spring portal (and it appears there isn't), any player challenging it would win....

The article has some strange language. The players from Texas and Oklahoma are "prohibited" from transferring to SEC schools, while SEC players are "disincentiveised" from transferring to Texas or Oklahoma. Very odd....

It really doesn't have anything to do with what Trxas and Oklahoma are doing. If they are not accepting SEC transfers for immediate eligibility this season, that's simply their choice, but they're not obligated to follow the SEC rule until they're actually a member of the conference.
